The i3 4150 got me through Battlefield 1 and The Witcher 3. Haswell today needs an i7 4790, 4770 or bust.

I'd say there was definitely some other issue causing Tomb Raider to take so long to load, I upgraded from 4th gen i7 about 5 years ago and it didn't take that long to load.
