Becoming a big fan of your channel. I made this comment on another video of your but your videos are explaining and showing "the common" questions any newbie to this technology and hobby is looking for. Many small details are "assumed" to be obvious and I for one atleast often find no answers especially on the "higher end" theater technology. So really appreciate the videos and the type of videos you do. I am planning to pick up a control4 to my theater and was debating between touch , non-touch and just finished watching your review on the non-touch and was convinced that it will suite the needs for me. The Halo video was excellent and helped with finalizing elements of my home theater. Now just need to setup the Intermission mode script for the lighting. Very curious to see if you'll do a similar video for KScape and Apple TV once you get your hands on the Touch version of the Halo!

Great video, thanks! This Control4 remote looks interesting, but I'm interested in what the touch version is like, so I'd be interested in some videos featuring the touch version. I'd like to see how Kaleidescape and Control4 work with the (future) touch screen version of this remote. There's a lot of Kaleidescape remote functionality that doesn't map neatly to how hard buttons are labelled. For example, in your video, the record button maps to subtitle. While this is not an issue for the person who programmed the remote, other users/family members won't know easily what a lot of hard buttons do. Hence, my preference is to have touch-screen equivalents, particularly for Kaleidescape functions that don't map neatly to already-labelled hard buttons. I'm still using an old Philips Pronto TSU9400, which has 100% customizable on-screen display, and a healthy number of hard buttons for commonly used/intiuitive functionality. Plus, it's totally programmable with Javascript, which is great for folks with a programming background (my Pronto talks via TCP to Kaleidescape so I even created a graphical keyboard to make entering letters in searches easier). I'm hoping the Control4 version of the touch-screen will have a good graphical user interface. I no longer use a cable box (after many years of TiVo use), so I no longer have need for the numbers in the non-touch screen version. Anyway, keep up your great work on the videos, and I look forward to seeing more!!
