Why would you flick it so hard when the phone is already open? Then complain the hinge sucks when it obviously folds down. I've had this phone for 2 months and the only complaint I have is the battery life. While waiting for a phone case I dropped this phone twice thinking the screen is cracked or damaged, and to my suprise not a scratch on the screen or damage to the hinge at all.

I mean he explains it. It’s not about if you would ever do that in use, it’s a test in longevity. If it wobbles now it could lose its ability to keep the phone open when upright in a few months. It’s just something to look out for. Why are you watching a review channel if you don’t want possible extended use issues brought up? The weaker a hinge is out if the box the weaker it will be in 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, etc.
@disanco2 ай бұрын
I think the hinge is great, definitely an improvement over the 23 model. obviously if you constantly flick it open as hard as you can it will destroy it. I've had mine for months now with no problem at all. if you are going to abuse it like that its not for you.

This phone is for normal people not tech bros. It's a great phone, takes good pictures and videos for everyday use, haven't had a problem with it yet. If you have an opportunity to upgrade to it at a good price go for it. Just take care of it like any other phone and it'll last. If you are rough with your phones you shouldn't be looking at a foldable anyways.

I still have my 2023 razr plus and it's still like new. The hinge feels great. I just got the 2024 razr base model with cricket for 99 bucks. Can't beat it. Fast, smooth and great performing device. You can't tell that it's considered a mid range phone. I mean it performs great. I don't flick my phone open in a wreckless manner. It's n not meant to be slammed open and closed. While I do like the Moto Razr 2024 from what I've seen of it, I wouldn't buy any flip phone because of durability concerns. Motorola promised the Razr phones this year were designed to be 35% more durable but that's likely marketing to get people to buy the phones. There's a cool factor about flip phones but they aren't durable enough to convince me that they're safe to use as a primary phone.

I’m trying to figure out durability before I buy one… I’m stuck between the Razr 50 and a Pixel 9. The razr has more consistently good reviews compared to the pixel

@@brandoncain4832 I like the Razr but I'd probably go with the P9. The Pixel has mostly good reviews that I've read and this year Google made them more premium. Honestly though, if prices weren't a concern then the Samsung S24 or S24+ would be the ones to buy.
