Good ol Extended play, I remember tunning in just for this show. Before the internet took over this was the best way to see games in action early. I wish i could find the episode where they did the GTA3 review they did.

i remember clearly this was late night show in our country every thursday 11pm and i always waiting for what games are that great at a time,then i bought my ps2 so i can play those games it was a great memories that this show started it =)

old tech tv was so good. can't help but think about how soon after 9/11 this episode took place... such a unique time in history all that was happening in the world and the crazy upgrades from one generation to the next.

One of the main issues of new games for the "new" gen consoles of that time is that some were way too short (can be completed around 40hrs+). Now, its not even considered an issue with games of today. People are now more concerned with paid content rather than its story/gameplay length.

They gave Luigi's Mansion a 4 out of 5 in this episode, but then a few years later in their Mario special they said it was one of the worst Mario games of all time. WTF?

You know you really have to appreciate Nintendo has stuck to this all their gaming life. They didn't hop on the multimedia center idea back then and still all the way into 2023 they are still a gaming device first and only. I would like them to just once go back to competing on a tech level though. I just want to see their games in at least 1440p with 60fps. Then again they know what they are doing. They competed and was the 2nd strongest during the xbox years and got slaughtered and now they sell like hotcakes. I am sure they will go the hybrid route again for switch 2 but I just would love to see their stuff at 60fps high resolution and fidelity. That being said the switch 2 has a chance of being pretty impressive if done right. If they could get it around the steam deck it would be pretty dope. With the optimization of a console they would be able to pull more out of that hardware than valve can because it wouldn't be just a handheld pc. Also the whole gameboy advance/gamecube idea sounds like a very early switch idea. I am sure they have wanted to do something like the switch for a while but had to wait on the hardware to get there and go down in price.
