Here's an idea.... run the built-in benchmark for Cyberpunk 2077 multiple times for each cooler and capture the temperature results using MSI Afterburner. That will produce more consistent results.

you say look at RPM that it"s the most important. however you then also say GT600 is better. the GT600 has a max RPM of 2800 while the GT500 has a max of 4200/5000. could you explain this?

The user manual for the gt600 says to "replace the white filter every 5 to 6 months" .. but it doesn't specify what the white filter is. Where to buy it or the material so you can cut it to size. It does say that the black one is reusable. The competitor Llano seems to only have the black one. But it performs better than the IETS 600. Esp at lower RPM. I wonder if the white + black filter combined restrict the intake airflow too much causing it to perform worse than the llano. But I'm too lazy to take out the filter, start recording my monitoring and then start a game of bf2042 to see if it makes a further difference. BF2042 seems to be the game that my CPU struggles with most from all that I've tried. It literally locks to 95c, which is a little worrying for long periods of time. I haven't seen it lock to 95 with other games. Anyway, I use that game to test and I've so far only tested 1400 and 2800 RPM, raised on the second lowest notch, because I've heard and seen reviews where it did much better raised. Should have started without raising it I guess. Anyway. Lowered temps from a locked 95 to 86/87 at 1400rpm and 80/81 at 2800. It's impressive for sure, lowering 15c from my CPU's max. It's an ASUS TUF F15, so the holes on the back aren't that big .. in fact seem rather restrictive. Anyway, I've seen Llano perform even better in the videos I've seen. Esp mid so I can't wait to test that out and see if it's any better. If it performs better on mid settings I will likely pick that one since it will be quieter at mid settings than a maxed out 600.

@3choblast3r4
@3choblast3r4 12 күн бұрын
@@Spurdospaerde692 Yup, as far as I know it's generally better to use the manufacturers software for such testing. Asus Armoury Crate might not be the best software. But it has a really detailed monitoring mode. You can set it to record and it will record temps, usage etc.etc. Start a game, play for a while. Close. Stop record, then import the recorded file, which will play it back, allowing you to scroll through it and see every detail etc. it's how I discovered my CPU hardlocked at 95c when I tested it with BF2042. With the 600v2 at max it drops to 81/80. considering the tuf f15 has tiny holes on the bottom, it was quite impressive. But I'm going to test another similar one which is suppposed to be even better.

I am using lenovo legion 5 6800h rtx 3060 with the gt600 browsing at 400rpm, (basically no sound unless you are in a dead silent room) gaming at 1200rpm, temp drops around 15-25c (as loud as my laptop fan at full load, this is the max I will go for best noise/performance) 2800rpm is so loud that it is basically a vacuum, would never do it unless I really need to Overall, amazing product, extremely efficient, it blows so hard that the air comes right out of my exhaust without the laptop being turned on. @3choblast3r4 12 күн бұрын
That's what I thought, but it doesn't seem to matter. So far everyone I've seen said it's ok. And to be fair, when I turn it on, the fans aren't running. I think that if they were spinning armoury crate would pick that up and show my fans spinning (it shows their RPM when they spin). I was worried it would make the fans spin and cause static or something and damage the fans. But no, it cools so efficiently the fans either stop or they run at far lower RPM extending their life span. On top of that, the IETS and competitors have filters, which keeps dust out that would normally enter into your fans. (I replaced my SDD after a year, and my fans were full of dust, despite careful cleaning of the vents every few days)

An unfair comparison because 300 is a weak power source from the laptop and not from a direct source via an adpter with a value of two ampere or higher, which gives high efficiency, and this is from personal experience.

But it still won't achieve any significant cooling capacity since it doesn't come with memory foam to guide the air flow.

@@ExXxC4L1BUR I did not say that it is superior to other products, but rather I said that it is an unfair comparison because the 300 requires an external power source of two amp to operate at full power. sometimes it depends on your laptop design some laptop like predator have exhaust vents left and right and bottom which will make these coolers useless but some laptop like msi or asus have vents on back which make these coolers perfectly good 100%
@TechTyrial
@TechTyrial 8 ай бұрын
I think you are mistaken the function of the side vents. The bottom fans suck in and the side and back vents exhaust. Which makes these coolers still effective. This fan design is universal (as far as i am familiar) which makes these coolers work across the board. Only laptops with closed bottom panels will not benefit from these coolers.

I went from the first one brining my temps down to 78c under load. To the second one keeping the cpu to a cool 98c!. If i crank it to max cools to 94c. With all the noise, it's pretty much useless. I would 100% reccomend to not get one. Build quality is terrible. How many will i need to get one that works as intended? 3? 7? Buying this cooler made me decide to build a pc. i just received the ilano v12 cooling pad yesterday. it’s really effective bec I can see that it lessens temp realtime and would rise again if it’s turned off, I also noticed after long monitoring that I don’t get temp spikes often anymore maybe bec it provides flowing air through my laptop. from 70c it dropped down to 43-45c. it’s also not that loud as I thought it would be and doesn’t annoy me so far. it goes up to 2800 rpm but I’m using 1500-1800 since to me it’s good enough bec the lowest my temp could get is 38c if turned at max. a lot cheaper too compared to the iets. the ilano only has 1 layer of filter unlike the iets 600/626 i think has 2 layers of filter. but I’m happy with my purchase since they were generous by giving me a total of 6 extra filters.
