I do worry that if the glass on the 10-24 does not change, will it still suffer the edge to edge sharpness for architecture photography? or is that over rated and just stopping down 5.6 or f8 solves all those issues? still not really sure why someone will pick up the 18 when there's the 16 but really want to hear someone like a street photographer or whats the difference. curious since theres the 27mm 2.8 pancake will they really make a 27 f1.4 fast prime? Still curious as you mention to update older lens like the 23mm f1.4 OR release a new 27mm f1.4.

I think the existing 1.4x and 2x convertors work on the new 70-300. The 100-400 will have more reach and wider range than the 70-300 though the latter is much smaller.

Looking at the possibility of replacing my 10-24 with the MkII update on the proviso that it is ”made in japan” otherwise I’ll stick with what I have. I find it interesting and a bit disturbing that Fuji (and others) seem to as of late to be concealing as to where their products are made or assembled. There are reports that some Chinese companies are taking this approach as well.

Has anyone got the 16-80mm F4 and what are your thoughts? Currently rocking the 18-55mm and was looking to replace but not sure from all the controversy on that lens. Cheers!

I would think those TC's that were referred with 70-300 are those that are already out for 50-140, 80 and 100-400. I think they talked only about x2 because of bigger range. Can't get to comp to check video if it shows is it the same one. I have x1. 4 with my 50-140 and i really like it.

II saw the fuji x summit presentation and TCs are 2x and 1.4 that we are using with XF 50-140mm and 100-400mm are the same for XF 70-300mm. It's great!

I have the xf 50-140mm with teleconverter 2x and it's excellent

The road map has several zooms missing eg 18-55, 55-200 etc

well the 70-300 is probably going to be in the 1000 range for sure, not sure what the teleconverter is going to cost, but if the lens is 1200 and the teleconverter by itself is 200, kind of want the OG 100-400 instead.
