Amazing. My battery was delivered in discharged state. This charger worked in "waking" up the BMS.

Thank you for making this video. I have a question after watching it and I'm hoping you can help! * I received a UK plug version of this charger (with a car I ordered) but I am located in the US. I bought a UK-to-US plug adaptor but when I plug the charger in and hook it to the battery, it appears that after the startup sequence, the charger starts flashing light 6, 7, & 8 simultaneously and I cant seem to find any reference of this in the instruction book. Can you explain what this means? Also, do I need any other parts (besides a uk to us plug adaptor) to make this work in the US? Thanks !!

Hi and thanks for the great explanation! I got a green light after charging the battery for 2h. Now the green light is blinking. What do I have to do? Leave it there connected to che car and blinking green till the next time I'll use the car or after the green light starts blinking it means that every is ok and I can disconnect the charger? Thanks a lot mate!!!

The battery is healthy! You may disconnect it from the charger! We recommend to keep the charger connected to the battery when you don't need your car anymore if you want to have the battery in great shape all the time.

Thanks for video I have question. If after 12 hours+ charger orange and red light is flickering what does that mean please? Nothing else just 7 and 8 flickering should I wait another 12 hours or start it again?

Hi! Disconnect the battery from the vehicle's electrical system if you have not already done so. Reconnect the charger and see if the result improves. If not, there may be a defect in the battery itself and there is nothing the charger can do about it.

@OptiMate hi there thanks for reply. It's been out of vehicle since I couldn't start. I reconnected it and it's still orange and red flickering. I got new battery also 11.2 ah for my midnight star 950 so will see. I hope it comes pre charged. Thanks mate

You're welcome! It is always a good idea to also connect a new battery to a charger.

If it's a 12V lithium battery, yes! If it's a 24V lithium battery, then our OptiMate Lithium 8s 5A charger is the one to go for!

Hi! We recommend that you only use our lead-acid battery chargers for charging and maintaining lead-acid battery types (AGM, STD, GEL, ...) and our lithium battery chargers for charging and maintaining lithium battery types. The OptiMate Lithium 4s 5A is a lithium battery charger.

My 300Ah battery has been in charge mode for over 14 hrs and the charger is very warm, is this normal?

Yes, this is completely normal. The charger can heat up to 45°C, but that's the limit.
