In HSR no matter the time I can log in and have content to play. Some of it I'm not the biggest fan of, like Swarm can be straight up f**kin dumb, but it's still nice to have it there and available. Meanwhile in Genshin I sign in, condense my Resin, do the dailies or grab some chests and then sign out. I've argued from the beginning that the Abyss sucks and barely even counts as content because it takes maybe an hour to beat every couple weeks and the overly bloated health pools just make it feel tedious rather than challenging.

Getting stars on the Abyss requires artifacts, those require you time sinking the game because artifacts are almost entirely RNG, RNG stat rolls, RNG stats boosts, RNG to the main stat. If your 'end-game' content requires RNG to be doable, you've failed as a game developer.

Not in denial. They are aware that is is happening, its just that they are certain that it will pass because their players and their content creators have nothing else like Genshin to cover. The only similar (and better title imo) is Granblue Relink which is like a single player Genshin sold as a complete game. Until WW comes out, Hoyo will not snap out of it because of the pigeonhold they have on open world gachas. Its genuinely toxic and disgusting on their behalf, but even the mightest of kingoms can fall.

I completely respect tectone, as someone that has been watching his content since the launch of genshin, and as someone that has played the game and left after the first year event and now came back, I am officially off this game, I deleted it this morning after I wasted the update primos and am not expecting to play this game again until I see the day that tectone is playing it and he is only playing after the game is better, in the end of the day his point of view is extremely valid on my opinion since I also see the problems on genshin since day one and I also have been seeing how the developers are greedy. Don't get me wrong, I love this game, it was a great game, it has a great story, but there are too many wrongs than rights. Ps. I watch a smaller creator make a video yesterday about how awful hoyo is treating us then today uploaded a video of him buying the skins and pulling for cloud retainer and her weapon. You were right. You've always been right. I decided to delete the game today. Yeah it hurt cause I was addicted and never saw myself giving up the mundane grind to fuel my gambling addiction. Yeah, having the community speak up all at once really makes a difference. I was already not going to stop spending on the game, but I still had 45~ wishes saved up so I was gonna pull for Cloud Retainer... but at this point, I don't even wanna do that because it'll still make their numbers look better. I changed my in game player profile to "Genshin Could Never" and I'm taking some time off the game. Might log in for a few seconds each day during the event just to get the free login bonuses, but I won't actually play or spend any wishes. Probably also wait a few days to not add to the day 1 spike of players.

Sumeru is so damn big I haven't finished it yet and I play mega casually now, like I only log in if the new update story seems interesting or is relevant to the Traveler's story. Fontaine I've already got every waypoint, found every chest and done most of the overworld games, the biggest part of Fontaine is the underwater sections, which only bloat the region more. In Sumeru the vast majority of space is taken up by emptiness in the desert with gargantuan structures to explore in the distance. In Fontaine it's just a bunch of extra well cultivated land with a sprinkle of post-apocalypse, not only did I get bored of Fontaine as a region very quickly, I actually went back to Sumeru to explore for _fun_

the thing about exploring was optional, Casual players just login and use resin do daily and then log off like i did tbh i dont feel much grateful for each pacth no matter how good new character was. Honkai star rail and genshin not the same game genre? Like hell i dont know about that when i play both. Honestly. Id start playing genshin again if they did vastly fix the reward system and made all the temp events a permanent thing instead of being missable. For someone who works full time its difficult to find the energy to sit down to genshin and spend 4 hours doing an event just because I didnt want to miss it. But like tectone mentioned with albedo. If you didnt do the dragonspine event then you would be like. Who the heck is this guy? Or if you didnt do the first golden apple event then when they did the second event there you would be questioning where the heck that place came from. Id also really like if the event rewards matched the effort needed to complete them. Got sick and tired of events where it was oh. Go here and grab this item and bring it back. Then your reward was 10 wishes. But then a go here and kill this entire army then take out the boss who can 1 shot anyone event only gave 10 primo gems.

Tectone reminds me of rahetalius so much 10:34 for the people who don't know he was a Warframe CC exposing and basically doing the same shit as tectone and before he quit the game for good rahetalius put 10000 forma onto his vauban prime which took him around 580 days to do that, he reached that goal he deleted the vauban prime for good removing any progress it had. after doing that he made a video basically telling everyone in the WF community that endgame content will never come to WF an the game will never be challenging or have a proper story unironically you should check it out you would relate to it ALOT, Shitframe | 10000 FORMA VAUBAN

Just had to check the rewards for getting 100% on all 3 map expansions since fontaine was released. 5321 primogems, just over 30 pulls for hours of exploration. Yeah genshin definitely gets the same rewards as Starrail, FUCKING RIDICULOUS

I've watched Tectone since Ulala days and I've always thought that the things he said made sense, things that I'd have said it myself. So I was shocked when I found out that so many people hate Tectone, and that's how I know people won't share my opinions since it's are so similar to Tectone's. People really do hate him, especially on Reddit, it's like everytime his name is brought up, it's to shit on him. I've seen so many threads with thousands of upvotes of people agreeing that Tectone is a "piece of shit" over the last few years. I've always tried to defend Tectone on reddit because I know he's right, only to be met with tons of downvotes, despite my hardest effort to reason with them. It's to be expected and I shouldn't bother but I just can't stand it. I really hope that one day, these people would wake up and realize how wrong they were. Tectone is the embodiment of "We truly live in a society." and "CLOWN WORLD".

I’ve been watching Tectone since June of 2023. I had to do my research on the guy and I came to the conclusion that he’s not the type of person that people make him out to be. Sure, I don’t always agree with him in everything that he does or says, but I still respect him and will stick up for him when it’s needed. The amount of lies and misinformation that was and is being said about him is insane. And the fact that anyone that brings the actual evidence is met with more hate and even comments/threads get downvoted and deleted is absolutely insane. While I’m glad that people are starting to wake up and realize that Tectone was right, and I even saw some people commenting that they regretted their grudges and hatred towards Tectone when they saw evidence and the truth, there will still be people that will continue to believe and say things about the him that isn’t true.

As a new player (from october) i wasn't even aware of these problems. I'm now slightly regretting getting into it as i'm not sure what to do about it... If never been one of these type of games before, i only have experience with single player... So thats saying a lot (and overwatch wich i stopped playing because it got boring, yeah i might stop playing genshin too if this keeps going on... The only reason i started was because i liked the characters but missing events is stupid and i wasnt aware of it.....And yes i do like stories but a skin would be nice because idc about npc that much if its not going to bring change (also why are their creeps in the game??) like the npc trying to get with freaking DIona or Barbara.... Why is traveler not stopping it, honestly biggest issue i dont see traveler as a hero anymore and just is there for the plot.... And i just fought the balladeer meka (IT WAS SUPER EASY) How dissapointing i was hyped up over like a 30s battle

That's the thing, these events ARE in the code, ARE in your files and yet... you can't play them... and you won't ever be able to play them because they aren't meant to ever return. Like, at least on mobile you can delete data from quest you've already completed... but you can't on PC and consoles for some freaking reason.

I am no Genshin shill (I mean GENSHIN COULD NEVER) But Those time limited events are almost certainly not in the game files right now (The scripting logic and other such things might be) but there is no way that Meshes, Textures, and sound files are. For reference the content added in 1.6 was about 8.2gb of files size extra, then in 2.0 The total game size only increased by about 7Gb. Which was 4 islands, MSQ and lots of side dialog/quests. This very small file size increase only makes sense if you account for the data in 1.6 being deleted when 2.0 updated. This is almost certainly the case for lots of 1 off things, the Klee event in Sumeau was the same. There is simply no way that all those unique meshes, sound files ect are stored locally with the main game. It is not possible given that genshin is about 88gb. Which is not bad given its scope, no shill but gotta respect it; call of duty can take upto 250GB and it has a fraction of the files of genshin. The technical aspects of Genshin as a computer science study is incredible.

Think about it though, Hoyo started with games that align with Honkai 3rd, Star Rail etc so when Genshin took over and turned into their cash cow I don’t think they were too excited about it. They rode it though but their hearts are more into celestial space turn-based style gaming. Why would they get miffed at the fact that the player base is upset. They also know that a good portion of the player base also plays Honkai so retrospect it’s what they wanted all along and everyone is playing into it. Lose Genshin base then gain more Honkai base. Catch what I’m sayin?

honestly its so funny to see everyone going insane on this, like bro, how could you not want more rewards, if you bitc about it high enough that it affect revenue it going to be changed...like do they just hate rewards and think genshin is fun running around half the day around the map trying to find the random chests of 2 primogems just to get that 10 pull and come back with useless things like one 4 star weapon or a maxed out c6 noelle type stuff huh??? And their excuse is ohhh im trying to build pity it doesn't matter...well its a very tiring process to get a 5 star, takes at least 3 banners before you get one and that's to say that you are logging in everyday, doing your quests,events. JUST FOR ONE, and then next patch two character releases, your welcome, you are now stuck in a constant tiring loop trying to get everything but in the end achieves nothing but unhappiness on why you cant get your characters:)
