Opposite. Screws do not have a surge limitation. Centrifugal compressors are the ones susceptible to surge. (note: we use centrifugal, screw, and tri-rotor screw machines here at TEC)

@@TECTubefilms Interesting; that's not what I was told from "the guys". In that case, I will be reconsidering my opinion if I am ever asked for it again on what type of units management should choose for large Building Envelope HVAC loads. It was hard to follow along the video since the first 5 mins. had me confused about what water temp. he was referring to, but then was able to hear him clarify it was "entering water temp"; I give video 3.5 stars though.👍
