The man Ted is talking to is Bob Keppel. A detective in Washington that caught the case of the first few girls when he was a rookie. He spent his entire career and then some on these cases. The girl that Ted is talking about was Georgeann Hawkins. It was June 11, 1974. And she really did have a Spanish test the following day. Everyone remembers Ted Bundy-- We should be remembering the young and beautiful girls whose lives Ted violently and mercilessly cut short. R.I.P. Georgeann Hawkins August 20, 1955-June 11, 1974

Holly Would wow she was only 19 years old so young had her whole life ahead of her. I feel so deeply sorry for her and the other over 50 women this monster killed. He did not get what he deserved, electrocution was far more humane than he deserved. I feel as all who take Gods gift of life should have their life taken from them the same way they took life, but even though justice was too easy on Ted Bundy in this world he still has to answer to our God for all the horrendous murders he committed in his life. God knows all and sees all and Ted will not get it as easy as he got it from our judicial system. He will pay for all the wrong he did, just as we all will.

Bundy always tried to create this impression that he was killing in spite of a strong desire not to and talked about his subsequent "shock" and dismay about once again having given in to his impulse to take a life.Frankly I've never bought any of that.I think he enjoyed himself in his disgusting pursuits and also enjoyed lying to people and using his considerable intellect to manipulate them and play with them. I'd be very surprised to learn Ted ever felt a shred of remorse or regret for any of his actions other than the slip ups that led to his capture.

he is fascinating because unlike most killers who talked about their urges and kills in confessions he really reveled the very minimal and took all his secrets to grave, he never openly talked about his thoughts and urges or what he did to women, he described where to find bodies very technically but nothing else... I am sure he confessed to very small number on his victims and kept most secret, he never admitted when he started killing and showed the picture of just what kind of monster he was. I assume its much earlier that people think when it all started... all the way until the end he was hiding his true self and so many questions are left unanswered, this is why people are so fascinated by this even today. probably one of the most terrifying evil killers that even existed, if you can even compere these things.

All Ted Bundy recordings and interviews are literally a gold mine for fiction writers who want to explore this genre.. The level of insight he has into his actions and the way he articulates them.. No. I have never even been TEMPTED to do anything like this. It's horrifying and unappealing to me. It's not just a matter of not succumbing to temptation; I have no DESIRE to do it. There's a crucial difference between me and someone like Ted Bundy -- he was a sociopath, specifically a sexually sadistic and necrophiliac type. Almost the dictionary definition of one. People with sociopathic personality disorder lack the mechanism in their brain that we colloquially call a conscience. They can meticulously craft personas and feigned emotions for themselves that they don't really feel, but they can do it so consistently and so convincingly that people believe they are sincere. They feel entitled to take whatever they want, and in their minds, other people are just objects to be used or obstacles that get in the way of what they want. Ted Bundy had so many people fooled. Some people just call them evil, but that's an oversimplification -- it's a real psychological condition. Now, not all sociopaths go on to kill people. Many of them become highly successful in business or politics. (This is not to say all politicians or business executives are sociopaths, but those professions tend to attract more of them than other professions.)

I believe that you don't have the desire to do such awfulness. However, as extreme reaction as one like bundy exhibited, that selfish compulsion is in every one of us. I believe it could be the primal need for survival. And obviously bundy type extreme comes from a twisted and distorted fulfillment of a simple need that everyone of us has in order to complete simple goals such as taking care of our family. That's all I'm saying.

I don't believe power changes people. Some of my friends are in positions of power (surgeon, assistant director, and family physician) and they are well respected, loving saints. I believe that if a person abuses power they were always evil and it's just that power showed their true colors.
@danieldougan8613
@danieldougan8613 8 жыл бұрын
Nick Pastorino I use the word "evil" sometimes, but I've come to realize that it's a very imprecise and unhelpful term...and I should stop using it. It puts everything in black and white terms. Ted Bundy was a sociopath (or psychopath, depending on your perspective). He was one of those people whose brain is simply unable to feel guilt or empathy for others. Sociopaths / psychopaths either do not have a conscience or, if they do, it is severely underdeveloped. People fitting this profile are often found in positions of power. The power did not make them sociopathic...but instead their sociopathy helped propel them to power. If not for his murdering, Bundy was by all accounts headed for a successful political career. There were prominent political figures in Washington State who knew him and simply could not believe he was capable of what he did. Most sociopaths are not violent (because violence is not what they really want), but many are consumed with getting what they want by any means necessary...even if that means stepping on or manipulating other people to get it. Bundy hated women because A) he was illegitimate and was told growing up that his mother was his sister and B) he was heartbroken over being dumped by his college girlfriend. He felt powerless when it came to women. He craved power over women, and his idea of good sex was to play God with their lives. He played out violent fantasies he saw in pornography. That's more or less what he said in interviews. Is that evil? Sure, you could say that. But it's much more interesting to understand why he did the things he did.

Having pervertic sexuell emotions is something I can't comprehend, but I can understand that people have them. But raping somebody else and scarve them for life is something ... And whipping out an existence, a young, innocent existence. She had a Spanish test next day, her life was waiting for her, and she hadn't even started it. Not only that she was too young, but she was also preparing for it by her studing, preparing for her later life like any other adult. But instead, he choose to kill her, so she could never finish that test, not even joining it. Never finish her studying, never live her life she was preparing to. And why? @DerTypausBielefeld
@DerTypausBielefeld Жыл бұрын
@@Ocanaldabelinha Well, my comment is more than 5 years old. Today I know way more about this. Now I know that human beings would never feel this way. No scientist could ever explain a human would feel this because of a brain damage, for you can damage our brain as much as you want and people still would not feel attracted to corpses or children and disgusting stuff like this. The same way as for the Tourette syndrome. You can damage the brain as much as you want and people would still not randomly swear and insult other people. That makes no sense. Human beings would never feel like this, human beings do not do this! We are all getting corrupted. And no Christian or Muslim could ever tell me it was the devil and his angels or something like this, for they are nothing but creations themselves, so they would never have these powers over other creatures. That makes NO sense either. There is only one entity who has powers of the creation, it is the one that designed it or at least was a designer once, so he has powers of the designed things! And this is exactly what we see all day, the perfection we see in all the way it was designed requires an entity that designed them once. But we see it in the same way how everything good was designed, no matter what it is, it is also getting polluted, and no human being or anybody else could ever pollute the things that were designed without the permission of the one that designed it. No human being could ever rape, torture, moleste or kill another human being without the agreement of the one that designed them, and no human being would ever come to think of this madness in the first place. In other words: If a human being gets these thoughts by himself without someone told him them, it is the flaw of the one that designed them. And if a human being would never think gross stuff like this - which is the case -, there is only one entity that could corrupted our thoughts, it is the entity that once designed them who has the power to fill our mind with these crazy things. And on top all of that, if I design something, I am responsible for it, which means the designer is not only responsible for the bad things his creation is doing, but he is also responsible for helping, so things like this with Bundy do not even happen. But he does not, even though he must. So we see dogs are chained to a barrel for more than 19 years, for instance! So that is what behind all of that. The former designer deciced voluntarely to turn mad and evil and lost his allmightyness, in case he ever really had an allmightyness, and his powers are shrinking until he finally lost all of them and the order will be restored again, and he gets his punishment for all the things that happened afterwards!

Bundy did not blame anything on pornography. His interview with Dobson was just another ploy. Bundy was a manipulative, pathological liar. He said what he felt people wanted to hear,and used that interview as a tactic to get another stay of execution. Sure, he said pornography made him do it, but he was not being truthful about that in the least. He was a true sociopath, and suffered from antisocial personality disorder. Pornography, or not, Bundy was destined to commit those crimes.

He's lying in this interview. He thoroughly enjoyed talking about all of this and remembered every detail of every crime. Ted abducted her at around 10 p.m. and likely got her to the crime scene no later than 11 pm. He said it was almost daylight when he finished her off. Therefore, how molested her for close to 6 hours, so just imagine what she went through. No animal would treat another animal like that.

Stephen Davies Serial killers fascinate some, like myself. Book writers are often fascinated by them, and so they write stories about them. Does that make them serial killers as well? Of course not. Some people are just interested in how the human mind works-specifically killers. This also does not mean they're serial killers. Think before you speak ignorance please.

I actually find that messed up that you guys would want to even write/learn about a guy killing people. And I bet any money that people who study about serial killers have not thought of becoming one. For example what happend at the school massacre in sandy hook? He wasnt a serial killer but he was really interested in school massacres and eventually did one himself.
@pyxl666
@pyxl666 9 жыл бұрын
But... Are you not remotely interested in the way his mind "worked" and led him to kill at least 30 people, if not more? Why are you even watching this video then? What makes his brain different from my brain? Or your brain? Or a different serial killer's brain? Also I'm sure at least 90% of the world's population has had the impulse to kill, whether it was from anger, curiosity, or the "thrill". The difference between serial killers and those who think about it is that the killers acted upon it. Also I'm interested in the minds of what goes on in school shooters heads...but will I ever go to a school - especially an elementary school - and shoot up the kids? Hell no. That's wrong on several levels.

I dont think hes good or that he redeemed himself but i also dont think he lacked remorse i think he says he was horrified that he killed and i think he was right that it wAs to him a possession thing because he felt he could never have anyone so he got off on taking what he could never have by “getting” a beautiful girl. Idk if that makes to much sense because its not supposed to be a rationalization its just that i think he expresses 1 remorse and 2 motivation and i dont think they are sociopathy but i also think he deserved that chair

@Valhallachilles A very small percent of the population are born with psychopathy, doesn't mean they are killers, but means they are devoid of emotions and empathy. Sociopathy has many of the same characteristics, but society plays a major role in shaping their distorted behavior. Dexter on the Showtime series is a perfect example of a sociopath; society played a major role in what he became. But for several years, psychopathy has been seen as an incurrable mindset. Scary shit..

You're right, I hate when people think that having a mental illness is just an excuse. It's not an excuse, it's an explanation.
@jflsdknf
@jflsdknf 10 жыл бұрын
People with a mental illness either do not realize their actions/thoughts are "crazy," or they are aware their actions/thoughts are not healthy and know they need to change. Serial killers are just plain evil, not even human beings. They realize their actions are not right and yet don't give a shit, they just love killing people. No mental illness there - that is just who they are deep down. This is why you cannot cure or even treat a psychopath or sociopath, all mental health experts know they are untreatable. There is nothing to cure. I realize it is hard to accept that someone could just naturally be so hateful and evil, but that is the fact.

***** I understand your point, that he was solely responsible for his actions. Psychopathy is a personality disorder. There are many different causes associated with it. If you think about it, mental illnesses are just labels for different behaviors that we exhibit so that others can understand it and why we behave that way.
