I agree. Trump’s movement was just too strong at the time when he was in the field. There were some good choices in there though. Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, all great options for POTUS. When Romney was nominated, I was pulling for Newt Gingrich. Even this cycle, Larry Elder is more libertarian than republican meaning he aligns with my views and values the closest. But it takes a lot more than being a great candidate. You have to have charisma and none of these guys exceed Trump in the charisma department.
