If you actually want to hear Dibiase speak, it's 2:30 into this 3 minute clip before he's given a chance.

How the hell did Ted Dibiase not know that?
@FerretJohn18 күн бұрын
What, the Ric Rude thing? Probably because Rude never told him about it and he never asked.
@CatsClaw4417 күн бұрын
@FerretJohn Why would he have to ask or why would Rick Rude have to tell him that he was on Nitro and Raw at the same time!?
@FerretJohn17 күн бұрын
@@CatsClaw44 Because unlike the online fanboys DiBiase doesn't obsess over every petty detail, this was just work to him, what you call Memorable Moments he called Tuesday.

Ted Dibiase was most likely burned out on wrestling at that point.

I like these interviews but I wish I had a dollar for every time Ted said, "You know".

I would not be surprised if he thought about a comeback. You dont get that good without it being in your blood. No shame imo in rough comebacks, its that same drive that got me to fanboy in the first place.

Ted couldn't do it physically anymore, his doctor warned if he gets dropped on his head he can end up in a wheel chair.

Bizarre claim from Dave-why would a guy in his mid 40's with a serious neck injury pay them around half a million, that would take probably a couple of years in salary to get back & risk permanent injury? Maybe he was confusing Ted with Curt, who came back from his Lloyds policy retirment right around this time? Was he asked-seems he was from Ted's response, but would he seriously consider that deal? No.
@SalHami00117 күн бұрын
How come he didn't receive $1 Milion from Lloyd's of London???? Were they all lying to us all along--DiBiase was only the $460,000 man. I'm suing for false advertising.

wcw was doing stupid stuff like that back then

I’m siding with Meltzer on this. Ted seemed too uncomfortable and couldn’t even directly say it was true or not true.

I'm siding with the truth, Ted didn't want to return.

Ted's response makes it clear a proposition was put to him & probably not to offend Bischoff or whoever it was said let me think about it-but what would be the payoff? If they put him on 250-300k a year it would have took him 2 years or the best part of to pay it back, at which point he would be 46/47, with a debilitating injury & lots of other wear & tear. Now as if he said they paid the 500 odd grand to get him out of the policy & signed him to that level of money deal he would no doubt have given it serious consideration, having just seen Hennig come back.
