The commentators are real English football commentators: Arlo White and Chris Powell. The sarcastic one is Chris. There are many real-life footballers or at least UK celebs on the show. There will be recurring roles for them, even if you don't know who they are.

Broadcasters would use dynamic mics that block out most sound not right by your mouth. But holding them like that seems preposterous. It would get old really fast. In the US at least, all commentators wear broadcast headsets so their hands are free.

Rebecca is at that stage where she doesn't want things to be made better, she doesn't want positivity, she wants to be pissed off and I get that, I meet people all the time who don't want the thing they're mad about to be sorted out because they need to be mad for a bit and sorting it out will take that away. Really glad you're enjoying this show, it should've been a one note joke & cancelled but the writers and every actor deserves credit because this is so, so much more. @@jatinchanchlani8982 Yeah, I used to Rag on people who did that, but I realized something: to Americans, "Chai" tea is actually different from "Tea" tea. To them, "Tea" tea is the teabag tea, with maybe sugar, milk, and/or lemon. "Chai" tea on the other had means specifically the India style tea with spices and milk (and maybe a little frothing) that they usually get at a coffee shop. So now I give people a pass when they say "Chai tea" because I understand it means the other tea and not just a teabag in hot water.

1) I'm hoping patreons already told them that brendan hunt (aka coach beard) is the "jesus loves marijuana" guy from community. 2) As a passionate SNL fan I sometimes forget that not everybody knows the past and current cast member religiously like me 😅 Jason Sudeikis was hired as a writer by SNL in 2003 and he joined the cast in 2005 along with Bill Hader (who created, directed and is the lead of Barry as you know), Andy Samberg (who is of course Jake Peralta in B99) and Kristen Wiig. They are my favorite cast in SNL. Jason and Bill left SNL in 2013. 3) Jason Sudeikis created the character of Ted Lasso for NBC Sports commercials back in 2014. And then years later he developed this show. He is a creator, producer, writer and showrunner in this show, not only the lead actor. 4) We're The Millers is a really funny movie, I hope there'll be a reaction to it someday! 5) It's not surprising Aaron thought of Ed Helms. Apparently a lot of people think Jason Sudeikis and Ed Helms look alike. Though I agree with Eric, they look nothing like each other to me, can't see the resemblance at all! 6) The actor who plays Roy Kent is Brett Goldstein. He is also a writer in the show. He also made his MCU debut in the after credits of Thor Love and Thunder as Hercules.

Ted Lasso is now my all time favorite show (even more than GoT). That said I will tell you I wasn’t bowled over by Ep 1 and Ep 2 was better but not great. By Ep 3 I was hooked. The show truly gets better and better and you walk away each episode feeling hopeful and positive about life

Weather permitting,I might take a trip back to Inner London, which I left,40 years ago, and take a Boat Trip from Greenwich(Greenwich Mean Time) to Richmond in South West London tomorrow, where, you, probably, know, the series was filmed. I am only 1/2 mile from a London postal code and 11 miles from where I used to live and it's easy to get back to the heart of London whenever I want but peaceful and safe in The Outer London Suburbs. My own team, where I have attended for over 60 years are local rivals in South East London to "Palace". In 1967 when one end was a Grass Bank, we all rolled down it, in celebration, when we scored the winning goal in a league match. lol...Good Luck.

in case you guys don't know the reason the sun is hated so much is because of the Hillsborough disaster. Basically there was a game in the late 80s where 97 Liverpool fans died due to a failure of the police to combat overcrowding. The next day the sun newspaper published a front page blaming Liverpool fans for the disaster and put forth baseless accusations of Liverpool fans pickpocketing dead supporters when in actuality they were providing cpr to the victims. This is one of the many times the sun has bent the truth to fit their narrative and the reason they are hated to this day in the UK. In fact it is almost impossible to buy the sun newspaper in Liverpool due to almost all supermarkets and newsagents refusing to carry the paper.

WEgmans sells a chocolate Mint tea that is tasty, and Twinings decaf Chai is very good (and spicy!!) For caffeine, Harney and sons makes a pineapple blend tea called Tropical Green which is delicious! (but I can also drink regular British tea when I am there so perhaps not the best judge) First concert is John Denver, best concert Billy Joel (The Aud in Buffalo, 1979, FIVE encores!!) It *is* redundant, but that’s also how it’s written on menus and I’m not sure how to specify the difference without saying “chai tea” because I think chai is considered a flavor profile in the US as well. Also I totally don’t see the similarity but apparently Jason Sudeikis gets recognized as Ed Helms all the time.
