I still remember Ted Mack and geritol !!!! God ! To be that young again ! The philosophers had it right . youth is wasted on the young .

This was their final telecast for Hazel Bishop Cosmetics, on Sundays. In February 1958, the show returned on Saturday nights [10pm(et)] for Pharmaceuticals, Inc.- the makers of Geritol- for the rest of the season. The relationship with Geritol and their other fine products lasted through the rest of the series.

My father was on the show and I would love to find a tape of his performance.

The "original" amateur hour was back in the 1930's with Major Bows & Ted Mack was his sidekick. Then after WWII, Ted Mack restarted the show under his own name and it went from radio to TV.

In the late 1940's, it was presented on both radio AND TV for several seasons (although not quite at the same time).

That's my mother! 5th in from the right. This has to be 1947 not 1957. My mom was born in 1936 and would have been 11 when this took place.

1:50 - Oh, so close. Frankie Lymon they are not. Ted Mack has that Jon Daly charisma - also they both could rattle on eloquently until the talent was ready for the cue. Did Joan win? Damn...

At the end of the hour, the Four Winds were in the lead with the Snookettes in a close second. As I was only 10 at the time, I had no way to find out who won after the voting was over.

Barbara Bunchuk Too bad you don't have the rest of the show. Thanks for sharing! Glad to have had an opportunity to see this show after hearing about it (and Major Bowes, of course)

MUSICOM PRODUCTIONS I purchased the complete show from Albert Fisher several years ago. That is how I know what the score was at the end of the show. The 15 minutes was put on KZbin for me by a friend. I have no idea how to load the remaining 45 minutes.

Hello everyone out there in youtube land. I need your help regarding this video The group called the Four Winds. The young boy in the front is sitting next to me right now. He's a good friend of mine. He's now seventy five years old and has seen the video and I was curious into getting Some raw footage from the show. So i'm not sure who posted this if they were connected with NBC at all. Please contact me with any information. Thanks
