we should all find a love like Chaz. These two were truly in love and soul mates. Roger was an extremely courageous man and this story is so inspirational. I am SO glad to have seen this. Back when I actually watched television, Roger Ebert was the only movie critic I actually cared to listen to. Everyone else it seemed reviewed based on their own personal tastes. Roger would review a movie based on it's audience, it's genre. I have often wondered what became of him. I am moved to tears to see that his journey has continued, an adventure worthy of the character of the heroes in his beloved movies. Maybe I'll read him instead now.

I always liked Roger. He was maybe the more "prickish" of the two when it came to Siskel and Ebert, but he was a little more real. Kinda like he was more likely to tell you like it really is. Truth is they were both fantastic, and kept millions of people entertained by giving their opinion on entertainment.

Brings up a good point about synthesized voice. I would have thought that they'd use existing spoken words to inform a filter to re-create the same, or nearly the same, voice. Given a few thousand words, the sounds created by the speaker would be available to characterization I would think, considering computers can learn how to recognize words once it learns an individual voice.

I understand that some people are mad. VERY mad that Ebert tweeted something that was a bit too soon after Dunn's death. Guys, understand this, he apologized publicly to everyone saying that what he tweeted was too soon. Yet some people still get butt hurt over the fact that he tweeted that IGNORING his apology. This is inexcusable. If you made fun of 9/11 or the Holocaust as a joke or you realized your mistake but the others won't forgive you and constantly torture you about it, would you feel good? You know it's a mistake, you apologized for it, and yet people still make fun of you. Thank God that Ebert at least was smart enough to not be hurt by the vile viciousness of you people. @zrhealey I think Ebert was drawing a line between a game, and art. A game can contain art, but it isn't art itself. At the end of the day, the bare-bone mechanics of Bioshock aren't any different from Doom, quake, or any other FPS. It could be firing white dots at black dots, and as far as the game goes, it is the same. It is the art of the game that makes it worth playing. The characters, the plot devices, the stunning settings. The game as a whole may not be art, but art is still inside :)

To all the folks upset about the comments about Ebert's appearance: Those comments are almost entirely from a single conversation from 10 years ago. Perhaps in YT's early days, they didn't have a comment "reply" option under each comment. Instead of a single comment with replies under the original to keep conversation tidy, replies were all typed out as brand new comments. My point is, i think it would not seem as bad if it were all replies under a single comment.

I can see a variety of hateful comments regarding Ebert and they are truly distasteful. It doesn't benefit anyone to make fun of him. What if you were in his position? Yes, he made a mistake, but he apologized for it. Does that mean we still should hate him forever because he did something bad that even he acknowledged was wrong? If it was done in the reverse that doesn't make it right. Even after the surgeries Ebert was still optimistic and happy. He didn't get depressed permanently, in fact this video is proof he had a lot of fun (the "Phantom of the Opera" joke), so I find it disgusting that some people relished in the position he was put in even though he had no worries.
