I "found" about a year ago and I have been a fan ever since. She has such great sense of style and individuality. I love her blends of Blues, folk rock, pop, and whatever else comes to her mind at the time. Rei is a breath of fresh air in a very stagnate world. "lazy loser" and "what do you want (live)" are 2 of my favorites from this incredible talent. Actually there is a message behind that video. She talks about beeing patient about things and her belif that it will turn out good for you if you manage that skill (Growth Mindset). She herself gives the best example for that belief (that guitar skill) ;)

Loved this! What an amazing guitarist. To all the people who are wondering why this would be on TED, you must be new. Wow Reo you are very talented you have obviously studied blues a lot. You perform Big Bill Broonzy's Hey Hey really well. You also can sing well and have a great feel for the music. I have been a blues guitarist now for over forty years and ,if I may ,could I offer some advice ( not in your guitar playing which is superb) but in your lyrics writing. You need to listen to the great lyrics writers like Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry , Joni Mitchelle, Billy Joel, Janis Ian etc. I found it useful in song writing to write out the lyrics of a well known song then make up a verse of your own using the structure of the original putting in rhymes in the same places etc. Once you have done that add more verses then remove the original song verses and add your own tune and now you have a completely new song with an interesting lyric structure and story line. It's a useful way to develop your lyrics writing.

BLACK BANANAって、最初、黒人の「あれ」を指すスケベなスラングなんだと思ったんだけど、違うのね。　まさか、こんな子がそんな歌を歌う訳ないか。 でも、「そういう歌」を歌ってるロック女性シンガーは、昔によくいたんだけどなぁ。 Since I'm not American, I initially misunderstood "BLACK BANANA" as lewd slang referring to the "male part" of black people. No way, because she's such a young girl, she doesn't sing such obscene songs.　But there used to be some female rock singers who sang "that kind of song".
