The only way he can beat Ruiz is by KO and putting him to sleep but that will be hard cus we have seen him take AJs hardest shot. AJ is gonna be very conservative this time around and it’s not gonna play out right cus Ruiz is fast with 10 punch combos I feel bad for AJ I’m sure he didn’t wanna take the fight this fast and you can tell just by looking at him he looks terrified

@Darrell77775 жыл бұрын
@KeRon Tucker I got the point but you missed my point. My point is that his theory is flawed because he stated that because AJ was in America and not the UK that the people who witnessed the fight live were foreign to him unlike when he fought Wlad and in reality even though he wasn't on UK soil, thousands of his countrymen flew over the pond to see him fight live and created an atmosphere that was very similar to the one he experiences when fighting at home. He had plenty of "witnesses" when he fought Ruiz at MSG.

Teddy makes an excellent point, and one i agree with. "Be what you're supposed to be." Amen to that, brother. Too many clowns in the game nowadays. I remember when warriors came to be, and beat, the best. Now it's all promotion and lining up tomato cans to build careers to maximize profits. I don't pay to see businessmen minimize risk. I pay to see two warriors prove themselves on the grandest stage. That is the beauty of this sport-two men with only their wits and their desire, not the lights, cameras, or any of the other bullshit. It's the triumph, the tragedy, and the raw desire that creates champions and legends. The moment that desire to be the best leaves is the moment a fighter no longer needs to be in the ring! And if you're going to be in the ring, then dammit-be a fucking warrior!!!

My theory as to why the vast majority of people want to to see Ruiz win is because people want to see a charismatic, tall, handsome and jacked fighter get knocked out by a chubby Mexican American kid. Why? Because it reminds the average Joe that you don’t have to be a specimen to win the world and all you need is a good heart and some hard work. This is just a common theme I’ve been seeing when talking to people about the fight.

No, you need to listen carefully to what he said there. I agree with him. He was talking about the psychology of Tyson and how his mind wasn't that of a true champion like Holyfield (his example) in the sense that Holyfield had absolute conviction and faith to battle to victory when the going got tough. He had reserves of grit and determination in the ring. Tyson never had that. He went on to explain that the upbringing of each fighter is a cause for this lack of true belief in his self, and again I would agree. He said that Tyson didn't have a mother/father figure that showed love and total belief in him, someone that gave him a sense that he was strong and could overcome any obstacle. Holyfield did.

Anthony was "looking past" Ruiz. He had no respect for his opponent and got his ass beat. That's the main reason he lost. He also was not motivated. He wil likely fix his flaws.

How come after 1 loss everybody has the answer of all his problems, yet previously he was the darling perfect image for the boxing game. these guys are more than your classic mug/thug heavyweights of yesteryear, they're more intelligent than the era before Klitchko brothers, all Boxers of today are athletes with a real professional mindset compared to the OG days, they have more access & information to technology than ever before, these guys are students with an natural instinct for fighting. AJ never gave up! he's a true modern day professional fighter. nuff said!

I disagree that Joshua gave in. At the end, Joshua - with his scrambled brains ( from the third round temple shot) - believed that he was indicating to the ref - by nodding - that he wanted to continue but for the ref that - quite rightly - wasn't enough.
@ottomanstamper76095 жыл бұрын
Totally agree! Obviously nobody except AJ can know for certain since we are not mind readers but he says he couldn't think straight after that punch and what we could see supported that. Asking his corner "why do I feel like this?" is strong supportive evidence that he wasn't operating as normal and that he was scrambled. Aj has never come across as the type of person who wouldn't care about his legacy just because he has millions in the bank; also after the fight at no time was he talking about giving up. I think because he was so calm, graciously congratulated Ruiz, made no excuses and said he would come back better and stronger (but saying it in a cool calm way), many (particularly Americans) thought he lacked passion. Another difference between him and most other champions is that he has never considered being unbeaten as being most important, something which I completely agree with (my all-time greats in all weight divisions have lost).

Just checked out this "Athletic Greens" because they are constantly wanting us to use their portal. It's 77.00 for a 30 day supply. I checked the ingredients and it is exactly the same as Amazing Greens product called "Green Superfood" this product can be found at any health foods store like GNC for around 20.00. Sorry guys, but gotta steer the ship when it comes to supplements like this. I like them, but not 77.00 like them.

I'll give you my take on it when someone underperforms.....I walk for an hour every day & do pretty much the same things every day like eating & sleeping etc, & most days I feel pretty good but on the odd day I feel like crap...no energy & sort of burnt out both mentally & physically sometimes & there is not a damn thing you can do to change that & while out walking the other day on one of those bad days I got thinking that if a top sports person was scheduled to perform on a certain or given day & they felt terrible like I have described then that top sports person would perform badly eh...maybe Anthony was like that last time he took on Ruiz eh.
@montezjudah38625 жыл бұрын
Thomas McGillivray I would say at the beginning of the fight and even to the moment he put Ruiz on the floor he was feeling like you described on a good day. The moment Ruiz got up and caught Anthony with that left hook and put him on the floor, Anthony was then put in that bad day moment. Being hurt and faced with adversity for basically the first time, he didn’t know how to bounce out of it. He tried to recoup and caught Ruiz with some good shots but after Anthony got floored the 2nd time he just mentally checked out. At the end of it Ruiz was the more urgent fighter. This fight is going to say a lot about the character and the determination of AJ to redeem himself as a champion.

Elite fighters cannot have those type of days and part of their preparation should be designed to make sure that never happens. But we’re all human and sometimes we all have those off days in spite of all the planning we do to prevent it.

Ruiz wins again. Different heart. Tougher heart. Joshua is under tremendous stress that if he loses this fight - his career is over and his legacy is ruined. Too much to handle AND fight the Ruiz train at the same time. This is psychological fight that Joshua can’t win.

Respectable analysis from a legend in this sport! But beyond a man giving in during their initial contest, I saw above all, a man who was outboxed and outclassed by a superior fighter. The redemption story is sweet but not as sweet as the science Joshua hasn't mastered nor is equipped to the degree Ruiz has proven to be and will prove again.

A.V. Julian styles make fights but trust me come back to this comment when Joshua knocks him out in the 5th
@chrismalcomson76405 жыл бұрын
I'm not convinced. AJ was taken apart on the night because he didn't take Ruiz seriously enough, he didn't see the danger. To say Ruiz is the better fighter ignores the fact that AJ took on the toughest fighters out there and united all those world titles. He was never a protected fighter like Wilder. Ruiz has had his day in the limelight and will get TKO in the 8th..
@a.v.julian99175 жыл бұрын
@@MultiRibrob "Styles make fights" is an expression tossed about so loosely throughout the boxing community. Never really understood it. Fights make fights, if you ask me. Styles are what shape the competition. Semantics, I suppose. So Joshua by KO? Whether it's the 5th or any round before or prior, I will be returning to this comment. Can't wait.

@@chrismalcomson7640 A champion always trains like the challenger and never takes ANYONE lightly. These are excuses, and as Joshua said himself, he has no excuses. I take his word for it. He is a fighter. A warrior. But clearly outmatched by Ruiz. This will be apparent (again) come Saturday. I'm almost more eager to hear the excuses pouring in after he drops to Ruiz again than I am the actual fight. It's always soooo amusing to me.
