I'd agree, that Sean O Gorman should have been man of the match rather than Tomas Mulcahy and I'm a Galway man since he gave Anthony Cunningham an almighty roasting that day and the management messed up by not seeing that early enough to make a switch here. Ye won Teddy because of your greater ability to score goals and Galway had a suspect full back line which became increasingly porous during the second half. Furthermore I could never understand how Cork didnt win more all Irelands with that team given the top class forwards they had that day and instead it was the start of a downward slope the following year when they blew a great chance against Tipp. in the Munster final replay after been 9 points up.
