My wife is tripping out wondering how this 51 year old white man from small town Kentucky can know all these songs and the words too. I'm a 70s baby and this was what I grew up on. My generation grew up during a time of music variety. We listened to everything from Funk, Rock, Jazz, R&B to Pop. It's these genres that gave birth to Hip Hop. Run-DMC, Domino, NWA, Wu-Tang and etc. These classics were sampled because of the soul and essence of the songs and it is also what kept some of these legendary artists careers alive and not forgotten.
