omg!!! u r so lucky to have so much of Ruxpin! the toys of the 80's were truly magical! I'm so mad at myself for not getting the Teddy I saw at the thrift store. he had a missing bottom jaw so i passed on him :( at this point id give almost anything to have a Ruxpin of my own! I didn't even grow up in the 80's but I get such nostalgia every time I see him! i love grubby also, hes just so lovable!

The "new" teddy is nothing like the old one though. No nostalgia with those LCD eyes and the fact that it can't be used without a device. I just want a cute simple honest toy like the old teddy. I don't always want to use an app to play with a toy. I want an OLD one, with mechanical eyes.

It's fine for modern kids and at least they will know that there is something like Teddy Ruxpin but personally I wouldn't want to spend the 100 dollars on that one vs. the original. The eyes of the new one are pretty scary.

My son was a teddy ruxpin fanatic.! he is now 35. he has downs syndrome.. santa surprised him with the New teddy, it was his favorite gift ! he actually got tears in his eyes. I am trying to get him some of the old things ... who knew when I gave them to good will 20 years ago,, he would be heart broken forever.. I have to figure out how to update the soft ware. the new New teddy is really nice.. we have the old one.. is there a grubby for this new teddy?

Aw, I love that fans of the original Teddy are embracing this new one! Just goes to show that the lessons and stories are timeless. I bought, but still haven't opened the new Teddy yet. I feel like the switch from cassettes to using an app or whatever is going to culture shock me, haha. No Grubby yet, but it would be awesome for them to come out with one! Hooking him up would probably work a lot better/smoother with the modern technology too...
