The song writers are Mike Reid and Allen Shamblin who like most song writers and lyricists, only get recognized by their peers, but are unknown to the general music loving public. That said. I would love to hear Teddy sing Lionel Ritchie's hit "Lady", as sung by the late Kenny Rogers.

Teddy Swims is incredible! His voice, control, rasp, range and how he takes each song and puts his own stank on it! Another artist I would love to see him do a duet with is Yebba (AKA Abbey Smith). Check out her video singing “My Mind”. She wrote the song and the video I’ve seen is a live performance. It will rip your heart out and make you cry and want to protect her. She has many of the same qualities but in a female voice.

I don't know if anyone mentioned that this song was written by former All-Pro defensive lineman for the Cincinnati Bengals, who played 5 seasons in the early 1970s. A classic pianist, who gave up the game early to pursue music. He is a Grammy winner and an inductee the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. This song has been been widely covered, most notably by Bonnie Raitt in the early 1990s.
