Thanks for taking a look at these models, Teddy. The SRPB41 (blue dial) is my favorite, and I plan on picking one up some day. As for size, it's great for my 7-1/4" wrist, but I can understand people with small wrists wanting something more the size of the SARB033. I too would love a sapphire crystal, but I know that would jack up a price a fair amount with sapphire in that same domed shape. For those really concerned, Long Island Watch sells a sapphire replacement for this line for $99, but you'd probably want a watch maker to install it. Those movements being within 10 seconds a day is nice, and really more than I even expect for the price point.

The whole Cocktail Time série are killers, including "Made In Japan" 4R watches (4R35 and the exciting 4R57). I just bought the green one today as a smart casual and dress watch, which is most of the time wear for me. This is my first decent watch. I am concerned about it being "hardlex" mineral crystal, but I personally would like to see for myself if I can keep this in great condition over time - and I can always replace the crystal later if need be buying a sapphire replacement for wear and a hardlex when I want to retire this piece to collection and wear at certain dress times. I am over the moon with the price point with the sexy texture on it. Dances in the light and the leather strap colour really does compliment the face, even more so by the contrast separation the case provides between the two. This watch is well thought out and brings watches back to basics with style and grace.

I quite like these ones but the case size is too big for a watch that has such a large dial/small bezel. If I were to buy one, I would go for the 34mm " ladies' " version. I feel it's a much classier size for a dressy piece like this one. Many people would probably like something in between these two sizes like you said - I would really like to see Seiko offer something in "midsize".

You can wear a dress watch in a casual dressed down attire, I’m talking jeans and tee shirt, and then u can wear that same dress watch in a suit for a business dinner later on that same day, and it works just fine both times... you can’t wear a robust diver or chronograph in a sleek suit.

I appears that it, too, responds to changes in the angle of the light hitting the face an d shimmers. I would also like to get the power reserve version of the Presage "Black Cat Martini", which has an intriguing shade of dark violet (bordering black) to the dial, a totally unique color. @christianbarnay24994 жыл бұрын
@@istvantoth7431 Contrary to Swiss brands, Seiko never forgot that the primary function of a watch is to display accurate time. Even the lowest priced Seiko is almost as accurate as a COSC certified chronograph. The -35/+45 rating is an extreme worst case scenario that you'll never encounter even when the watch is completely worn out. There was a time when Swiss watchmakers organized world chronograph competitions to show off their supremacy. But during the 60s-70s Seiko massacred them consistently for 10 years. The best response they found was not to get to work and improve the centuries old movements they are still selling. It was to cancel the competition and only restore it decades later with the requirement that competing watches had to be built in Europe. And also spend tons of marketing money to badmouth asian "low quality junk" with the only argument that they didn't participate in the new "world" chrono competition. Seiko just completely ignored those sore losers and concentrated on providing awesome watches at a fair price to asian customers who could appreciate them for their true value without marketing lies.

I picked up a Seiko Presage “Skydiving” model at Seiko’s flagship store I’m Ginza 2 years ago. In retrospect, the green dial with brown strap “Mockingbird” is slight more my taste now, but just the same, the coloring that I bought I feel is very representative of many Japanese men in the look of watches that many of them wear. Which is to say, more simple and classic looks. I’ve found the build quality to be excellent for the price, as well as the look. The dial on mine appears almost white much of the time, but at different angles or in different light, has a much more light blue look. The one low point to the watch, although I do like its look, is the band. It isn’t the most flexible or comfortable to wear. It also clasps backward from most other watches that I’ve owned, but I think this is the style in Japan, so it makes it unique to me. Overall I’ve been very pleased with this watch through. I bought it primarily as a nice example of Japanese culture combined with my love of watches, and having bought it at the location that I did has made it even more special to me.
