Recently managed to get myself a Hanhart Pioneer, the gray dial. Astounded by the quality of craftmaship, the details, the design. I fell in love with the fluted or coin bezel, just can't have enough of it. The strap is top tier, calf leather. I have other watches from Swiss brands but even the "luxury" ones have a hard time keeping up to German standards. And the price is just unbeatable.

Yes Teddy, since I followed you, I´ve learned quite a lot about the fascinating world of watches, your approach is not just very professional but also humble and truthful and that means real passion, not empty boasting of luxury items. My personal dream watches are those like Sinn U50, Mühle Glasshütte S.A.R, Hanhart 417 ES 1954, Marathon GSAR or CWC RN81 also seduce me the Hamilton Khaki Murph. Maybe I can not afford most of them but love getting some expertise with you content. Keep it up Teddy.

I have a Laco Aachen 42mm automatic watch, from Germany. Absolutely love it. I especially like the dial. Minutes with bigger number than hours. In my country (Hungary) in the past (and maybe now as well)lots of people thinking that the germany things(cars, electric tools, kitchen equipment etc) is same with high quality. (This was one small reason why i started watching Germany watch brands and choose Laco....) Thank you for video.

My very first 'proper' watch was a Damasko DA47 black, I've then went on to add a Stowa Flieger no date hand winding and also one brand you maybe forgot to mention is Dornbluth which I added the 99.1 model (which was custom made to order but was still relatively attainable in terms of monetary value) . There's no doubt , with German watches you can get a lot more value as well as keeping the quality of a good Swiss brand.

Teddy, this is a fantastic video. Thank you. Most cheap German brands use Swiss movements or pseudo in house ones largely based on the omnipresent Swiss calibers. I respect Nomos, Glashutte Original and Lange for their in house movements. Hanhart, Sinn, Damasko, Circula, Junghans, Laco, Stowa etc. use ETA and Sellita.

I’ve been turned on to Nomos and just love Junghans and saw their pieces in person at the Wind Up Watch Fair in NYC. Damasks looks VERY interesting. The value of all these brand is simply stunning. Especially Nomos making their own movements AND hand-making them. For under $4000. Amazing. Would love to get one. Or more. In the future 😉

I like the notion that the watch can be built from the back with shouldered crown, an automatic movement in a stainless steel body with a screw back and good old fashioned Arab numerals, like the old days. ! I'll queue up for that one. I suppose Military style would cover the description.?
