If you follow our content at all, you'll know I am a big fan of German watchmaking and NOMOS Glashütte in particular. For the last few years, the Club Campus has occupied the brand's entry-level position while still offering an in house caliber and trademark NOMOS styling. In this video, I'll take a look at the newest Club Campus with a striking "Future" orange dial.

I just got the 38.5mm version of this watch. Up to that point, I've only owned black, blue, or white colored watches, and wasn't really into brightly colored watches, but when I saw this by chance while checking out some other watches at an AD, it was love at first sight. It's thin and light, so it's a joy to wear. The lugs have grown on me, they make the watch look elegant, and the color is much more versatile than what I first thought it would be. With a light colored strap it is a nice summer watch, but with dark colored straps I think it would look just fine in autumn or winter.

Such a great watch. I own the Nomos Club datum with display back in cream dial. At 38.5mm it wears perfectly on my 7 inch wrist. Picked up used for about $1000 usd

I'm getting into my later 60s and I really want this watch! Have always loved orange (a color that really looks great if you're well tanned). Glad to hear there's the 36mm diameter as well as the 38mm. This will make the decision between this and a Mühle Glashütte Panova in dark grey and orange much more difficult!

I love the bright color of this watch, I enjoy watches that scream “look at me” and can start conversations. I have a big wrist, 8” and while I own a couple of watches from the 50s and 60s I don’t wear them because of the size…36mm. A 47.5mm lug to lug is attractive I can’t seem to pull the trigger, but I love that orange…

Hi Teddy, The orange pops! And Nomos could do a lot more colourful dials IMHO. The only issue for me is the mirror finished case. I would like to have a fine brushing on the case of my Campus Club. That would suit a more casual watch better. Best regards, Claus

You can't go wrong with Nomos. Great review! I was in Glashutte last month and visited a wonderful Museum of Glashutte watches there. BTW, you can buy Nomos as well as some other local watches in nearby shops.

Nomos is an interesting brand. Consistency of style and emphasis on legibility. Nomos is not as sterile or utilitarian looking as most Sinn watches (that is not a criticism of Sinn) but has this intriguing updated Bauhaus spirit. Gee, that dial really pops!

Try the new 42 mm Club Sport neomatik blue sunburst dial w the new integrated bracelet and DUW 6101 which runs -1/+3. Nomos is impressive for the price.

Bauhaus inspired watch faces are so appealing! Nomos easily captures the most prominence with its niche with in movements made “in-house.” I can’t adjust to the Campus model with its Roman/Arabic combination. For value, I am a Stowa fan with 3rd party movements. Check them out.

A great looking watch at a reasonable price for an in house movement. I love the simplicity of the dials. I really like the orange version but this is as you mention it is probably targeted at the younger watch buyer, I don't think I could pull this off at my age and total lack of younger fashion. Some dial colours will also clash with certain outfits that could limit wear a tad but again the younger buyer will be able to get away with it better. For now I'll stick with my Ludwig.

This piece is killer. I’ve never been a big NOMOS fan although I’ve appreciated them. This new 36mm orange/ grey combo is great though. Before the Rolex OPs I loved the Breitling Superocean in orange, however it was a little too big for me. This NOMOS though is perfect. Great summer watch!

I've got to say this Nomos really catches my eye, great review Teddy, I ask you make a review of the new Grand Seiko SLGA007 Minamo, a striking watch.

After a month's wait, I just got mine delivered from Europe. 38mm, white dial, sapphire back. I have to say I'm a little bit disappointed. 1) The dial appears as white in all the photos, but it's actually a light gray. Very little contrast between the dial and the hands, except for the little orange seconds hand. 2) The numbers in the minute track and the seconds track are microscopic. I think the dial would have been better without them. 3) The minute hand seems just a tiny bit too long, as if it's almost about to scratch the bezel. 4) It wears bigger than its measurements. I'm almost sorry I didn't get the 36mm, which also has the orange numbers, which I realize now I prefer to the gray numbers on the 38mm. 5) Most importantly, after not even a full day of wearing, it's already running more than 30 seconds slow. Nomos claims accuracy within 10 seconds a day. I will however say that the case build is top-notch and the movement really is gorgeous. If you get one, spring for the sapphire back.

Huge fan of the white dial club Campus. I tried the 38mm on my 6.75inch wrist and it felt really good. I didn't buy it at the time but still want to.... definitely want the sapphire caseback.

I'm not sure if I can get over the elongated lugs. It leaves a gap btwn the strap & case. My Hamilton Khaki is like that though I believe it was done on purpose to better fit a nato. I love this watch, but not sure how about the lug length.

The colour wouldn't put me off but I think the mix of Arabic and Roman numerals with batons just might. The proportions and size looks just right and with a dial that was all one thing would be really good.

Mate it's pronounced Glas-Hütte, not Glaschütte. No sh/sch noise. It's basically 2 words-- Glas and Hütte, meaning Glass Hut, which makes sense since the village used to produce glassware.

All I want is the correct pronunciation of things related to horology, which they've been doing a nice job of so far. That's the least they can do to show respect to the watch brand. I have it 3 months - nice watch but it’s a bit underwhelming which is surprising given the colour. 36mm is the way to go if you are concerned about the long lugs. Nomos will engrave caseback for you.

Teddy, as always a great review. I have two Nomos watches so understand why you appreciate them. I'm considering to add another German made watch to my collection. Was considering Sinn but I have got intrigued by Damasko DK30 or DK32 with their in-house A-26 movement? Would you review it in the near future? I am interested to hear what youd think about it, maybe including comparision to Sinn, but probably not to famouse 556 as to me DK30 with the new movement is in a higher category. R

I prefer the Nomos personally. However, I’d say being a diver, the Aquis may feel more “in place” in almost every situation. However, that really depends on your preferences. I think the Nomos would perfectly fitting for most occasions. For me anyway.

You know you're a watch nerd when the just the lugs are enough to turn you off of a watch. So much empty space behind that strap, a gulf of space. I get that's the aesthetic, but it ain't for me. Beautiful watch though, really its a good one if you don't mind the lugs.
