HongJoong was the first rapper and is the leader of Ateez. The guy hanging out in the chains is Wooyoung (Changbin's friend btw), Mingi was the deep voice rapper. They have an overall storyline with a pirate theme running throughout, and many of their videos will include a short epilogue at the end of the song. It's easy to like both Stray Kids and ATEEZ because their music fits together well, but is still different enough to have its own lane. They often have similar energy, but SKZ leans more rap heavy and experimental while ATZ leans more vocal heavy and anthemic--both of which are great. Thanks for the reaction!

Since ATEEZ lore is about pirates, that makes Hongjoong ‘the main guy’, a Captain, everyone calls him Captain not a leader! Looking forward to more reactions, maybe down the line even introduction video for you to know more about the members! Little fun fact both rappers, Hongjoong and Mingi (Deep voice guy) have specific intro to their raps, for Hongjoong is his laugh (his inspiration was how pirates have this specific laugh so he wanted to do it as well) and for Mingi is ‘fix on’ asking us to fixate on his rap 💕 Also I know at the beginning you can’t help but draw comparisons between SKZ and ATEEZ since they both belong in the same generation but soon you will see how different they are, ATEEZ are just like no other

The first song Ateez performed in Kingdom was a remix of their song Wave, which is one of their earlier songs. The second one was Wonderland. I don’t know if you want to try watching the music video for Wave before you watch their Kingdom performance.

ATEEZ have a huge storyline behind everything... The "breaking the walls" thing is basically a way to show that we have to pass throw certain things in order to be happier or achieve something. On the lore, ATEEZ are breaking the walls between their dimension and the Halateez dimenson, also on the halateez dimenson, the world is under a strict government that wants to eliminate humans emotions, art and music. So if you follow a certain order on the musics you can undersand the connections and the Easter eggs planted on the mvs. Also to help us understand the lore, they release a type of a diaries notes with the albuns. ATEEZ are build different 💜

Eden/Edenary uses real instruments whoever possible. They have a B side Take Me Home with an amazing sax part in the instrumentation. Ateez does gospel with Celebrate for a song that is unlike just about anything in Kpop. Ateez are pirates-in Treasure series they talk about going on a journey together to find their treasure (treasure can be anything-Ateez often infer that friendship is their treasure). But their story also includes Hakateez, time travel, inter dimension travel, a dystopian world, and a rebellion.

Teddy,, kpop is amazing as long as you care to follow the lore, the tale, the stories..It all ties together. The style and genre of music are also main characters. Ateez are known for incorporating and experimenting with completely different eras to paint a wild picture. Not to mention the energy of their performance. One of the reason why Straykidz and Ateez are mutual. They have that same hunger and love to share with their audience. Teddy, The 2nd Rapper is Mingi but During Kingdom he wasn't able to join because he was on a hiatus... Because of Mental Health problems... (i think) and it was really hard for them to miss him. he is so amazing and important for the group just like Hyunjin from SKZ. and the 2 members missing from BtoB are also really important but I really love the interactions between the groups during kingdom. The guy in chains is Wooyoung and you have to watch kingdom to see his interactions with CHANGBIN (his FRIEND). SKZ AND ATEEZ AND BtoB are so close during Kingdom and I love the friendship they all build during Kingdom! You should really consider going to their concert, it's literally a life-changing experience. They'll be in Europe in Feb/March. I'm really curious about what you'll say about their less aggressive songs once you get to them. As for Peter Pan and Jack Sparrow, they're referencing their own lore which has a pirate theme, and Peter and his Lost Boys were a significant element of their worldbuilding ~moodboard.

My lore theory-the Ateez in military clothes are Halateez. The non military clothes are Ateez on their journey. Hongjoong is the captain (they are pirates so he’s captain). Kingdom stages did not include Mingi. He was in hiatus for mental health reasons. He was missed a lot but needed the break. Guy in chains is Wooyoung.

I have known about Ateez for few years and always liked them but did not really fall in love with them until recently I bought a ticket to the Concert here in New Jersey and saw them live. The show was amazing and the fandom is wonderful they are called ATINY its a mix of Ateez and Destiny. I have been to several concerts and this one was one of the Best ever. So now I have joined this wonderful fandom and hope they will be back to NJ next year. I mean they had 2 concerts in NJ in 2022 and on 2nd they had 2 days and almost sold out on both if I am not mistaken.

Watching your reaction as I comment. Ateez fans are called 'atinys' (a(teez) + (des)tiny) the main guy = Hongjoong and yes he's the Captain of ATEEZ!! Those trumpets, growls and chants in the background scratch my head so much I love it!! Makes me feel like I'm about to go into war lol. They always have small breaks and gaps in their instrumentals before a big section. It's one of my favourite parts of ATEEZ's productions. The following section hits much harder. I didn't know they used live instruments wow. They had a pirate theme going on hence all the Peterpan and Jack Sparrow references. Their earlier albums were called the 'Treasure' series.
