But think about the fact that at the age of 13, Ban Chan left his native home for another country in order to possibly make his debut in the band someday. He has been interning for 7 years. And he assembled his group at the age of 20.

Han wrote this song when he was 19 about how at the time he always wanted to be an adult and be treated as an adult but now that he is (was) turning 20 he is scared of adulthoodand what is going to come next. Bang Chans part is about how he wishes he could go back to when he was 13 before he auditioned for JYP and became a trainee. Since he moved to Korea at such a young age he had to grow up fast since he was basically living on his own at the age of 13. He didn't debut until he was 20 and had been acting as an adult for 7 years and so he wanted to go back to a time when he didn't need to act as an adult so he didn't have to worry about the things he does now (or at that point).

This song is really sad and everyone actually relates to this, and this applies for every song written by Han, the guy makes us cry every 2 seconds On a lighter note, you've seen blonde Christopher before in Victory song but like everyone you must have been distracted by the abs ahah

19 is Han’s solo work. Basically Han’s solo work songs are quite emotional. (Other Han’s solo work recommendations are; Slump, Secret Secret, Winter Falls)

I’ve never realized Felix repeating words in songs but I think I just love hearing his voice so it works. I personally love this song and play it alot cause it has a r&b vibe. You should check out “Beware/ Grr” performance video. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Btw, Han wrote this song. Also he joined JYP as a trainee when he was 14, so 13 would've been before trainee days, which are usually quite difficult and stressful.

I'm pretty sure people recommended this because you watched Han on Lee Mujin. He talked about his songs being more emotional and "sadder" and this is the perfect example. The age of majority is 20 in Korea, so it's a very definite cut off for childhood. 19 is kind of a year in limbo, you're expected to act like an adult, but still treated as a child. Han had it even harder because he didn't have anything close to a normal childhood. Homeschooled in another country, so he basically moved home as a foreigner. The only role model he really had was BangChan, who also didn't grow up in that culture, and then suddenly he's 19 and has all these expectations that he has no idea how to fulfil. When he was 13 he was just writing songs for himself, dreaming of getting to perform one day. I think a lot of artists at some point wish they could go back to just writing lyrics in their room and performing for their reflection. Han just put that into words better than most. And before anyone jumps in to bitch, no, we're not going to discuss the bs about the lyrics he wrote as a kid, copying the things he heard other rappers say.
