"TOP" and "Slump" are openings and endings for an anime called "Tower of God" (TOP is the opening and it has an mv, Slump is the ending.) I never watched it myself but just to give info lol

Changbin’s emotion in this song is incredible in the all of the lines he has but the line “take me to you now” wow the desperation is surreal. Is there anything he can’t do? I also love the fact that Changbin is your bias as he don’t get that much recognition when he should cause he’s so perfect and humble but yet people hate him 😢❤

Slump is the outro to that anime, and their song TOP is the intro to that same anime. The TOP MV is pretty cool. They also did Scars and Mixtape Oh on the first take as well. Both of those have an MV to.

Honestly they show off their skills even more than this one in the first takes of *Mixtape:OH* and *Scars* , and those 2 don't even have autotune (Not that autotune is something bad but you got the point.) They have MVs too so yeah idk you may react to them sometime if you want to hehe, especially Mixtape:OH is really special for us Stays because it's Hyunjin's return from his hiatus.

I love the English version, the Korean version and the Japanese version. They all sound great. The music video for this is also really good... But... this is the version I watch and listen to most. The vocals just hit different.

Also in terms of the delivery of lines- its so much more efficient to have a still body when singing at the higher end of your register, especially with a long monotone line like the one Lee Know, Chan and Seungmin sing, because erratic or unstable movement actually disrupts your ability to control how much air you release... for a line like that, you need quite a consistent rate otherwise you'll get a more uneven delivery with really punchy/projected moments and softer breathy moments. Equally with the lines that require more emphasis, you can really see the amount of tension (good tension!) increase in their bodies to deliver those lines with more power and totally different sonic quality. Ahh so interesting!

Teddy for a live performance of SKZ is always very good. But 3rachs on stage are always stable. Changbin and Han’s rap are always on top for a live performance. Yes, especially Han is very stable that vocals that rap. And Chan of course 😉

The Anime Tower of God was translated into Korean and English. It was quite clever of Stray Kids to have and English, Korean and Japanese version of Slump. When you watch the Anime in either of these languages, the corresponding version of the song is used.

If you want to hear more of Lee know's beautiful falsetto I would recommend Levanter and neverending story (an OST) even if they are softer songs

I almost always prefer the original versions, in whichever language, to the translated ones. I believe Slump was originally written with Japanese lyrics, like Circus, and I prefer the Japanese versions of both those songs. I know that when they translated Circus to Korean, the members were talking about how much the meaning changes when they change languages. Part of that would have to be because they have to change words around to fit the rhythm and make good sounds, but part of it is that in any language, there are certain phrases and concepts that don't quite translate. And word order changes, the word that would be emphasized in one language will come up in a different part of the sentence depending on the language, so things would have to be shifted around to make the emphasis fit. One of the things I love about Han's English rapping is how he plays with rhythm and emphasis, like that one small moment in this song when he says "....black OR white"which is not at all the rhythm or emphasis you'd normally put on those words. He also did that in Circus on the "MAY I Have your atTEntion LAdies And gentLEmen...". I assume that he's doing that in Korean and Japanese as well, although I can't tell since I don't speak or understand those languages. I'm not sure why, but there is something so incredibly satisfying in that rhythm play.

When they have different versions of songs, BangChan has said they try first thing to keep the meaning the same, but of course at the end they have to adapt it so the flow and ritm matches. So yeah, sometimes the verse changes a bit, not mad about it tho for me is like listening to a other song all along, they display their abilities differently depending of the language too.

Sometimes it could be that certain videos have captions that are simplified or slightly different. Sometimes they make them less/more literal so they translate into other languages in a way that captures the feeling and essence of what is meant versus exactly what is said word for word. But also when they do different versions of the same song they change lyrics based on syllables, rhyme schemes and also sometimes to fit the language's metaphoric structure better- again so that the meaning behind the words feels the same to the native Japanese speaker/listener as it was intended for the native Korean speaker/listener in the original tracks (or vice versa).

the difference between chan and lee knows falsetto singing is bc chan's part is quite higher 😂 their vocal ranges are pretty similar as far as i know. ahhh i love slump first take they all did so well. i recommend mixtape oh and scars first take performances as well, sorry if u already said you'd check them out :D

No I get that, but Lee Know visibly looks more comfortable in those higher ranges like it’s his God-given talent haha whereas for Chan I feel like it’s something he’s had to really work at, both are equally as impressive but you can visibly see it on their faces in this performances- that’s why I loved it!! I’m definitely 100% checking out their other first takes too!!

Lol dang, you truly know a hell of a lot about singing for a man who doesn't sing!! 😂 The fact is, Lino was only with the company a month or so when the SKZ reality show started filming. He wasn't deemed ready for debut by JYP at that time. Although, it wasn't due to him lacking talent, but because he wasn't used to singing OR rapping yet. At all. (He had never done either one before he joined tcwo weeks prior to the beginning of their reality show.) Nor was he confident in doing so yet. Which made JYP nervous. However he quickly realized that meant he just had to go for it. Which is exactly what he did, and exactly what he's been doing ever since. He just goes for it, every time. And over the last year, since Kingdom basically, he's simply just... naturally gotten better. So he never actively trained it. He naturally trained it by repeating the move over and over, each time putting it out there with no regrets. As completely and fully as he could manage. Until it was second nature and sounded truly beautiful. Which means he doesn't have all the hammered into his bones techniques that you can see Channie is using. Not to mention Channie trained every day with vocal coaches, for almost 8 years as of their debut. So when he's performing in a head voice, he's obviously going to have to use those techniques he was trained to use. Which is, as a matter of fact, going to be written all over his face. However I definitely respect that just as much as I do Lino and his naturally developed abilities. It in no way makes what he does any less meaningful, or him any less talented. Besides, at the end of the day, Channie does quite a few things naturally that Lino would have to train for. The only difference is.. Lino just chose not to do any of these things. 😂 With that having been said, I love them both and they are without a doubt incredibly talented men. I wouldn't want them any other way.

I’d really like you to react their song M.I.A there’s a music video (called a performance video) for it.
