I know this will get drowned out in the sea of 3-year-old comments, but Sock Footed is by far my favorite and one of the best albums I've ever listened to. In 2020, it was my #1 album on Spotify and I was in your top 0.01% of listeners (you liked my tweet of that, it made me very happy), I've listened to it hundreds of times and know every word and when exactly they are coming up and the instrumental scores by heart, it plays in my head sometimes when I can't sleep. I've listened to Tallboys more than any other song on my Spotify by over 40% of the streams. I have a concussion right now and can't sleep, it's past midnight and I came here for some familiarity. Recently asked my longtime crush to Homecoming and she hasn't responded, I came here deliriously for comfort, and it's working :). Keep making your music. I loved splitsville, (not as much as Sock-Footed), Talkies has good storytelling and emotional setting, but it's not the type of thing I'd listen to regularly. The lyricism and Instrumentals in all of Sock-Footed's songs are perfect, they make me feel so many complex emotions, There are few songwriters who I know of that can make me imagine feeling as vividly as you consistently allow me to do. I love your songs, Teddy, sorry for making this comment so long and rambling, It's tough to think right now, at this point it's more of an open letter than a comment on a video.

I could imagine a young man. (whom we shall call Axel) laying in his deathbed in his house, already diagnosed only a few hours to live. His love interest (whom we shall call Angel) is mourning and weeping that he will never see him again. Suddenly, Axel starts to sing, and a piano that Axel has starts to magically play by itself. Angel is then suddenly taken in a beautiful, colorful light, and they are suddenly stuck in the past, when Axel was still healthy, lively, and well. They are taken to a enchanted fair, filled to the brim of majestic creatures and delicious snacks, food and drinks. They dance, they sing, they laugh under the morning sky, and they even share a kiss with one another. When they day is finally over, Axel finally breathes his last, and Angel knows that his friends is still by his side, just not in human. And then, Angel spends the rest of his days, dancing and playing with his significant other's spirit.

I like to imagine myself in sweatpants and a plain white Tshirt I wore to bed last night, sipping from my mug of coffee, when my girl wakes up and comes out, bed head and all, and I put my coffee down, and put this on, and ask “if I may have this dance” and I can’t dance but I do my best to waltz in the dining room with her lifting and dipping her and laughing. That’s how this song makes me feel. But I have full knowledge that that isn’t me, and that isn’t what my life will be. But I guess I like to dream, and I hope someone else can live that for me, maybe even tell me about it one day.
