Yeah, there is a running joke in Haikyuu fandom, that watching Haikyuu is like adopting 60 kids. You'll love everyone, even the opponents. Just you wait :) If you are curious about the signs, I recommend checking out some match of beach volleyball. They usually have detail shots on the signs - which sometimes looks weird because it's basically a shot at the player's butt, but you can see it used in action (though on a bit smaller scale because there are only two players) :D And honestly, Tanaka's 'girlfriend' monologue is one of the best additions into anime (it's not in the manga)

teddy important heads up to ensure quality reactions in the matches : - after a spike hits the ground, the side referee points a flag to tell if the ball was in or out. if he points the flag down the ball is in, if he points the flag up the ball is out -when a spiker hits a block and the ball is deflected out of bounds, the point is for the spiker's team (this is called a "wipe" or a "block-out")

We just getting started Teddy, don't panic now! Lol The journey our boys will travel from now on is gonna make them grow, and surely we will too. Haikyuu really has this motivational aura that makes you want to go further and fight for what you want. Although a lot of anime (specially shonen) has this trope, Haikyuu is, for me at least, the only one that makes me feel that way, is really special to me. I'm glad and happy that you liked it and kept watching it, the story doesn't do anything else but getting better each episode, can't wait to see all the matches and know new characters! (Always keep in mind that you still have a lot of characters to meet lol)

Ahh i feel like teddy will be confused about the tournaments in future so i will just say, to get into nationals, there are two tournaments around the year, one is Inter high and the next one will be talked about in future. Its okay to just remember there are two tournaments to get into nationals. uwu

I need to clarify here both tournaments are completely separate having prefectural and national levels. Its just they have 2 chances to go to nationals in a year because there are 2 national level tournaments in a year. They have to qualify in the prefectural level to play at national level. The summer inter high and the spring nationals.

Hi, I'm here to explain some differences on tournaments from Japan and from other parts of the world. In Japan the fact of participating in school activities is very popular and therefore the teams are made up of children who go to the same school, as well as in America. For example, in most European countries, such as mine (Italy), the boys are chosen by some clubs in their own city or nearby cities to make championships based on their age (under 15, under 21 for example). Another difference is the way tournaments are held. In Japan they are single elimination, on the contrary in my country they are in the championship, i.e. each team plays against each opponent first in its own field and then in the opponent's field in order to have a ranking.

Teddy, i think you should consider (Kaguya-sama Love is war ) as one of your future reaction series. It Only has one season so its not a big commitment. Its a romcom slice of life type anime. The synopsis is basically a boy and a girl like each other but they dont want to be the first to tell the other person, cause they feel that if they said it first it would mean the other person is the superior person. So they find ingenious and hilarious ways to make the other person admit they like them.
