We need more stories like this if we hope for a better world

Without stories there would be no action. Stories are the heart and soul of action. I have spent a lifetime learning this, you would do well to learn it too

I very good speech I think. Though I wish she had mentioned some concrete ways for ordinary citizens like myself to take part in battling corruption...

If you are wondering how to stop corruption, look at the local situation. These situations also happen at much smaller scales. I am in high school and I already see this everyday. Be the change you want to see.

So what can we do? Not buy gas from Shell stations?
@Timrath

That would be a start. The next step would be to urge your friends to also not buy gas from them. Then you could change your email signature to "I don't buy gas from Shell stations", setup a blog that lists all their transgressions, vote for politicians who promise to curb corruption (and if there are none, go into politics yourself), give speeches, write articles, a book maybe... And when Shell finally sues you, become a martyr and continue campaigning from your cell. Nobody said it's easy. :-)

I'll do it! Thanks. (If Shell sues me, they will only lose money. They can have my 2001 rusted Kia shitbox and my 250 sq ft apartment...maybe the couple hundred they get from my car will pay their court fees).

You'll never see all the women in the world, but every time you see and judge one by your preferences and what not, the ratio will change. Which means until you view and judge every female personally, your ratio will always be changing.

I suppose I meant a change in the ratio of attractive women and not necessarily so much the quantity.

We need more attractive women in the world...who also happen to fight for good causes. For a comment more relevant, lobbying/corruption should be eliminated by ruling that money should not influence legislation. The founding fathers should have included that clause in The Constitution, then the USA would've set a world example...but they did not, and we're living with the consequences. Either way, technology will liberate the population from the elites...eventually.

You realize attractive women are just based off of personal opinion, preference, and perspective? For example, I don't find Charmian Gooch is 'Sexy' but you do. That's cool and all, not going to judge/put you down for your opinion but we don't need more attractive women in the world, we already have plenty.
