One of the things I love about Susan and Derek aside from their phenomenal musical abilities is that they are so laid back, unassuming and humble in a world filled with egotistical "look at ME" performers. They're all about the Music being the important thing not their persons. Ya gotta respect this a ton IMHO. True Artists!!!

the Allman Brothers Band had two drummers. one of the drummers was Butch Trucks (RIP😢,) who was Derek’s uncle. and Jai Johanny Johanson, who is still working i think, is the drumming partner in that amazing decades-long collaboration. Derek started out playing with the Allman Brothers Band when he was about 12! TTB is sort of a third generation ABB, sort of. their music is pretty much the soundtrack of my life as well as so many other ABB, DTB, and TTB lovers. peace and love. ✌🏼♥️

Can't get over Susan's two voices. She speaks more timid than a girl scout selling cookies, and she sings like Janis Joplin on steroids. It's utterly impossible not to like this woman and her virtuoso husband. This is just pure gold music, does not get any better.

Tedeschi Trucks disproves my long-held opinion that a horn section just mucks up rock/blues music. I remember well how I thought that Blood, Sweat and Tears sucked in the late 60's. Yeah, I was there, in New York City, and had been a big fan of the great-but-largely-forgotten Blues Project, predecessor to BS&T. This music IS pure gold, just like @bertvanmanen3966 said!

Yes, this is a unique band really: their versatility, soul and ability to move across/bring together multiple genres without ever sounding lost or uninteresting. Of course they're rooted in the late sixties and seventies, but they're acive here today half a century later and still growing and developing. Derek Trucks is one of the best guitar players in southern rock/soul today and Susan is likely the greatest female white soul singer to emerge from the US over the last forty years. I love TTB too! 💗💗

Sometimes a song comes along which seems perfect at the first hearing, rarely does this last - not the case here -inexplicably it seem to fly on it's own winds, as fresh as the first time and then becoming essential to hear again and again. This song has real heat, no winter's tale here -the artists are of course exceptional - and beautiful Susan's smile can light stadiums - It''s joyous and tragic, listen and fall in love...,

I just HAVE to nominate "Do I Look Worried" as best song EVER! Lol The rhythm makes one sway, up & down, back & forth. Great slide guitar (as always) and a killer horn arrangement. The lyrics ain't too shabby either. Back in the day when I lied We'd always fight Now here you are foolin' 'round Out every night I don't have to take it anymore And I'm tired of always keeping score All I say is: Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Smacked in the face Such a disgrace You were wrong I try it again, stay 'til the end, but how long? We've been here so many times And I know you've fed me so many lies All I say is: Do I look worried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Ohh, worried to you Ohh, 'cause I ain't worried Fool me once or twice You know the saying: Shame on you But now that I'm done with the math Here's what I'll do I'll find my way, keep an open door 'Cause it's not the same as it was before All I say is: Do I look wo;"rried to you? Oh, do I look worried? Ohh, worried Ohh, 'cause I ain't worried Lord, 'cause I ain't worried You better, you better be worried Ohh, I'm worried, worried, worried, worried Yeah I ain't gonna take it anymore Ohhh @ 13:00

Loved these guys during this time. I wish they'd come back. Funky, groovy, soulful noise right here. Seems they're slipping away from their roots.
