The pellegrini are found in the Choco, but it is still not safe enough for us to go there. Maybe someday. But exporters get them regularly. Beautiful fish

Haha I knew you were going to put geophagus in there;!!!! I know about those species too , I'm guessing you brought them in because I don't anyone keeping or selling them here in America

I have them because we collected them in Colombia in January. G. nieva is exported to the USA as inexpensive steindachneri or red-hump earth eater because they are relatively easy to get to from Bogota. The species G. steindachneri was split up not too long ago.
