I learned my power lesson on my c6Z06. It was perfectly balanced and easy to drive in its stock form. After I did the heads and cam, tune, e85etc. it wasn't nearly as fun. Sounded great with that nice cam lope but too much of a pain to operate. Sometimes stock is better imo...:)

the only thing i would change is the transmission and remove the limiter. This engine is LIMITED to 738lbft of torque, yes limited. without the limiter it can produce close to 900 lbft of torque.

You know the craziest part about the SL AMG lineup of those years (non Black series) The SL55 vs the SL63/SL65 there wasn’t much of a difference besides in price, the supercharger vs the turbo lag on the tt v12 and the extra weight meant similar times and numbers, it was more of a status symbol 🤏🏽 I’d pick up the 5.4 ANY and EVERY day over the 63/65 just because of reliability and the sound 🥰
