I own these for about a year and the biggest plus for me is the small pack. You can basically take it anywhere as a second pair or if your main focus on a journey is not outdoor, you can still pack some outdoor clothes just in case.

How are they in warm and or hot conditions? I hike in warm areas so tights seem to be the best option so far.

@@firefoxjb I have not had problems so far wearing them in warmer climates, tho I would consider opting for the 3/4 one for warm environments. The fabric wicks moisture and it dries very quick. :) Hope this helps!

New Keb trousers a couple weeks ago, new jacket today. I want your early access to new Fjallraven gear! As for the mens tights, I got a pair a year ago and put several miles on them in the mountains of Colorado. Worked really well for me. The reinforced areas are awesome and they seemed to do a good job at regulating my temperature. Depending on the elevation, wind, sun the temps changed a lot during our all day hikes and these tights kept up. My wife has the women's version and also loves them. All of my outdoor gear (and really even daily gear) is down to Fjallraven and one other brand at this point.

Thank you for the review... and it seems like someone upgraded his stash a bit? :-P Running around in the Bergtagen eco-shell jacket AND the new Bergtagen backpack? I don't even think the backpack is available in Denmark yet... im jelly. Please make the review on that pack sooner than later! I was about to get a new backpack at around 40L and my local outdoor-gear-"pusher" was like "Wait! There's a new bergtagen backpack coming in stores in a couples of weeks" "what can you tell me about it?" "Nothing! We have only received a picture and a name...". So far those weeks have felt like years T_T I'm specially curious about the eco-shell fabric for a backpack. For it to stay water proof it's required that you wash it every now and then. How do you wash a backpack.. like thoroughly? I must admit I'm a bit sceptical of the pack in the context of hiking (it's made for mountaineering), but I would really love to hear more about it. Btw that 1:32 slow mo close up... I'm glad no one walked into my office at that moment.. it would had raised some awkward questions I believe, lol.

:) I guess the answer is kind of the same as for the packs, it all depends on the adventure, temperatures, location, rain, snow? Living conditions, for a warmer lighter fast paced hike I’d go with the tights, for a more demanding technical trek I’d go with the trousers!

Thanks Mattias! Great question! It all boils down to the situation or hike that you’re doing, for a warmer fast paced hike I’d go with the tights, if I’m going higher up and on a more technical trek I’d go with the Keb trousers!

Thanks guys I actually ordered these the other day, because they looked like they might protect against mosquitoes. I will give a definite answer soon. I love running and hiking in tights best thing ever, except I went fishing last week with Smartwool tights like a dummy, I only have 20 mosquito bites left on my ass. I knew it was bad 10 min in but it was too late.

Just picked up two pairs of the cool Fjällräven Men's Abisko Trekking Tights. They are the ultimate utility tight! The one reason why I like them is that they don't look 😝 like tights 🌭 from the thighs up and they have belt loops so you can wear a belt and carry your favorite knife. Quality product, with super soft stretchy material. Love the gusseted crotch 🕺🏻, and abrasion resistant butt and knees material! I'll definitely like to see (2) Snap closures for a more secure 🔓 fitment! Also the Snap is really pretty looking on the outside with the FR 🦊 Arctic Fox logo, BUT it could be more durable regarding the internal closure mechanism inside the snap, the single snap is not as sturdy as I hoped for. Also the waist does not stretch, which is odd. I wish it did because I had to size up two waist sizes, instead of just one. If you're in the U.S. 🇺🇸 I highly recommend sizing up one full waist size or you will wind up returning them if you do not, unless you are super skinny. The cool thing about these Trekking Tights is that you don't have to wear them super-tight, you can wear them a bit loose which I prefer the look of, like a half pant 👖 hybrid tight concept. The U.S. 📏 conversion size chart is a bit off to say at least. ✌🏻 Fjällräven Men's Abisko Trekking Tights = U.S. 🇺🇸: M = 32", L = 34", XL = 36", XXL = 38"

it s actually good if the waist does not strech, i haven't seen this tight yet but the Keb pants have the same not stechy waist with an inner g1000 fabrics. At least when your pockets are loaded the pants doesn't slip.

@@TheSilgit , That's a negative! As we become less active and older Athletes/Adventures due to repetitive injuries. And some of us put on Winter bulk, I expect anything with stretch in it to have some kind of give in the waistband. That's why there are belt loops for a belt to help keep them up if needed and also allows you to carry your favorite knife, which for me is critical and mandatory in a hybrid outdoor pant 👖. If there was double snaps at the waist it wouldn't be such a big deal, but as I put them on I popped the one snap open, I was ticked off because of it had and additional more secure 🔒 double snap closure I would've kept them, but I had to send them back and size up, now the bottom is slightly more loose than I wanted. Note: in Spring 2019 Fjällräven is coming out with a second Men's version more of a traditional looking 🌭 tight up top. No-fly, no belt loops, no hand pockets more like the Women's model which may be more comfortable around the waistband, but that doesn't suit my utility needs or desires.

@@TheSilgit , As a full on Arc'teryx fan, surprisingly enough ARC' do not make a true Adventure Pant with a significant amount of pockets and never have, which is quite astounding 🤯. The only thing that's ever come close is the amazing LEAF Drac Pant 👍🏻, unfortunately they have been discontinued 😤. I've been doing some research on the Fjällräven Keb Pants, the new 2019 updated fitment looks like it's going to be really cool. Big props 👏🏻 to Ted Weirum new video review. That sealed the deal for me. A gusseted crotch and a bunch of pockets is mandatory in a proper Adventure Pant! Now I just have to figure out how the new ones fit in the waist. 37" = Euro 54, or size up? I typically wear U.S. Large, I'm a 36" waist in Diesel Jeans, but everything has become so overly slim-fit today such as NIKE's Tech Fit Joggers, so now I've been sizing up one full waist size to a U.S. XL. I DON'T like apparel tight around my crotch and waist, I need some room to breathe if you know what I mean.

Yes I would, if I was moving with a heavy pack I’d be warm anyways. Right now we have around 20 degrees here and I used them just the other day, didn’t move that much but they were ok, not too warm!

What would be the ideal temperature for this tights ?

You could use these all year around, depending on what type of activity you tend to do. You can use a base layer underneath and if it’s really windy you can put a shell layer over when stoping. I use them mostly for spring/summer adventures with temps around 7-19 degrees Celsius
