kalo baca buku naratif sama cerita dan novel mah gak masalah 52 buku satu tahun. Being student like me yang harus baca bukan hanya buku tapi juga jurnal, artikel dan tulisan2 ilmiah urusannya lain. Btw gw suka cara dia meng-encourage orang untuk suka baca, fantastic!

@ladyfortuna1 @priyochatterjee1 the challenge wasnt too tough, many ppl can do it. However when he revealed the paragraphs from which the words came from, ppl are in shock cos the paragraphs were quite long. He said the audience has just read twice the speed of normal ppl. He believes everyone can speed read, and that its not that hard. He went on to summarize the importance of reading, which well, quite universal. He ends the talk with a challenge to the audience to read 52 books in a year.

Possibly use subtitles in English? I'm sure it is interesting.

Maybe you could use auto translate feature

The man is right: If you read more, you become better, smarter and will probably be more valuable. Speed reading however is not scientifically valid - the theories are wrong, and you can practice all your life and not get better. Reasons here, unfortunately I can't provide a direct link: Google artefact-consulting reading or click on the website on the articles tab and then the "speed reading myths".

@ladyfortuna1 @priyochatterjee1 you guys need translation? here's a summary. Well, firstly he stressed the importance of reading. He stated the fact that many adults nowadays dont really read and according to him, one of the biggest challenge for adult to read is that because we read slowly. He then gave us a few speed reading tips. 1. dont read out loud 2. dont read words per words It the follows by the demonstration whereby he flashes words and challenge us to read them

I want to read 52 books but I can't understand!
@Rybot900013 жыл бұрын
Well I can't understand what he is saying, but wanted to add that I challenged myself to read a book a week for a year. I actually read about 60 books that year because I was obsessed with pursuing absolute knowledge. And I slowly studied them all with an eye for understanding as if I was investigating a mass murder. I guess I'm lucky to be in a menial job where I can actually do this. It's not easy to read Homer or Alighieri inside a week and some of those neuroanatomy books are pretty heavy.
@Quinn77716 жыл бұрын
Rybot9000 how do u manage to read and understand that fast? Are there any specific techniques that you use? In my case if I read fast my comprehension would not be that good and if i try to grasp the text properly it makes my reading slow especially if it's certain types of literature eg: scientific journal, textbook, know-how book, etc

pemateri ga layak buat TEDx... 52 buku dalam satu tahun gampang, klo teksnya naratif kayak gitu.. tips ga penting, klo cara baca dari SD dah tau, cara memahami yang cepat dong!!..
