P.H.D. James Tour (Origins of Life) lecture is a great presentation, no conjectures nor any hypothesis. Just the Molecular Bio-Chemistry and Synthetic Bio-Chemistry facts. He gives us a detailed, concise lecture on abiogenesis, and how Natural Selection could not have happened.

Well natural selection is a fact and James tour is a religious fanatic that has no actual evidence aside from the fact that he can’t think of anything else besides god.

@@averagejoe8280 I don't know about now but before he was hated for his religion he was in the top 10 cited chemists worldwide. For years. Explain how one could attain that level of achievement, thinking of nothing but God. If you have the relevant science.

@@averagejoe8280 Every "Origins of Life" discussion forum I come across has Evolutionists blindly declaring their belief in a theory that even Darwin himself conceded that there were sufficient flaws in his evolutionary theory that could bring the whole validity of his theory into question. Whenever I try to challenge evolutionists to their strongly held beliefs they never present a scientific argument based on the facts and source referenced. When I actually do they dismiss it out of hand without investigating the argument or the evidence. Put simply, they WANT evolution to be true. The fact is evolution lives or dies on the theory abiogenesis which is an utter fabrication and pure pseudoscience. It is impossible.

"P.H.D. James Tour (Origins of Life) lecture is a great presentation"- it's "Ph.D" and it goes after the name. Tour is a distinguished chemist indeed in a field ENTIRELY unrelated to abiogenesis or evolution- which he says he doesn't understand. He's right, he doesn't. " He gives us a detailed, concise lecture on ... how Natural Selection could not have happened" say what? NO ONE in their right mind denies that natural selection happens. What you are trying to claim I suspect is that he demonstrates that abiogenesis didn't happen. You are wrong in two dimensions. He has demonstrated nothing of the sort and, of pushed says he hopes for a scientific explanation of the origin of life. He is correctly identified as a religious fanatic....he also has some very serious ethical issues. Why not spend more time listening to people who actually work in this field. Tour does not.

Is he a biologist? Because at 2:58 he shows what appears to be a depiction of a riboSOME but refers to it as THE riboZYME.

Considering this was posted just a month ago it seems inexplicably outdated- check out Mike Russell's rapid-fire and complicated KZbin videos for the latest excellent theories: seems to me the origin of life question is answered in all but detail.

The same Creator that made NATURAL LAW, which is not man-made, and it is binding on all creation and it is immutable, (cannot be changed) and it is found in all the universe, uniformly, and no one can opt out of being subject to it, and it will exist as long as the universe exists, this Creator made humankind, and all life on Earth. Only an intelligent, Supreme being who has the will and power, to enforce NATURAL LAW, can keep it in place, forever and ever, all across the vastness of the universe. He created everything for a purpose, according to his good will. He explains that purpose in his Word the Bible. Over the centuries, man has tried to destroy the Bible and it's message of God's will, all without success. This is because it is his word and can never be destroyed or silenced by any government or power on Earth.

@@lrvogt1257 There are so many flaws and holes within the theory of evolution that even Darwin himself conceded that there were _sufficient flaws in his evolutionary theory that could bring the whole validity of his theory into question._ So much of the theories of abiogenesis and evolution are speculation or extrapolation of the facts to suit the theory. But atheists... sorry, evolutionists have no problem with this. Neither do they appear to have a problem with cosmic inconsistency (i.e. the Big Bang theory), just with "a cosmic authority figure" (i.e. a creator). Even the Big Bang theory violates laws in physics and the general theory of relativity; 1. the first law of thermodynamics, which says you can't create or destroy matter or energy, 2. the early inflationary period of the Big Bang appears to violate the rule that nothing can travel faster than the speed of light. 3. the formation of stars and galaxies violates the law of entropy, which suggests systems of change become less organized over time, 4. the "horizon problem" with the CMB (the cosmic microwave background) should not be uniform in density or temperature given it's beginning and the laws applicable to the general theory of relativity. "The Horizon Problem" in cosmology says, essentially, that regions on opposite sides of the observable universe are in thermal equilibrium and have the same density even though they are so far apart that due to the limited speed of light, they could not have ever been in contact. This uniformity in temperature and density is physically impossible. This defies the laws contained within the general theory of relativity and is scientifically irreconcilable.

@@Locutus.Borg. : The only people who don’t think evolution is a sound theory are those promoting an assumed belief in the supernatural which has zero scientific credibility. No one claims our knowledge of evolution is complete but It is probably THE most thoroughly studied and validated theory in all of science. No critique of evolution logically leads to the supernatural. It’s dishonest to demand scientific rigor for evolution and reject it utterly for your supernatural cause. All science begins with speculation then a hypothesis which can be tested and verified to produce laws and theories like evolution. The religious claim their beliefs are facts without any such validation AKA faith. We know the Big Bang happened but no one claims to know how or what other related phenomena may be going on so no claims of fact are made beyond what can be tested. The laws of physics after the Big Bang may have little to do with it’s initial occurrence since the initial circumstance was unique. We just don’t know. There is much study and debate about the quantum realm which is incredibly unlike anything we think of as common sense and which go beyond the theories of relativity just as relativity goes beyond Galileo’s classical physics. As it turns out, while nothing (probably) can move faster than light in space, the expansion of spacetime itself is not limited to that speed and it's accelerating. It’s why the sky is dark at night. Light from the most distant galaxies can never reach us. The cosmic background is not completely uniform and has been mapped. The known universe began in a state of low entropy, it is increasing in entropy but with areas of emergent properties caused by forces such as gravity, electro-magnetism and the nuclear forces. In the end, everything will spread out again to low entropy to the point where spacetime is meaningless if it exists at all. The 2nd law of thermodynamics only applies to a closed system. You should check out Sean Carroll, who is particularly good at explaining these types of things for non-experts like me.

@@lrvogt1257 _"Sean Carroll, who is particularly good at explaining these types of things for non-experts like me"_ You and me both buddy. I don't claim to have any special credentials in these fields only a keen interest in science, cosmology and astronomy. I studied biology and chemistry at high school but went into computer sciences instead. I don't believe that these things are irreconcilable with faith or a belief in God. Just like an expert that I would recommend to you, Dr. James Tour, who has a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry and is a leading world authority in this field. He is open to follow the truth wherever it leads without feeling that this truth will in any way compromise his faith.
