Raíssa talks about a technique that she created to contain oil spills, and how her restlessness and curiosity helped her materialize her dreams.
As a graduate from a technical high school with focus on chemistry, she has been developing environmental research since elementary school, aiming at issues that affect her community. She was the recipient of awards in national and international fairs and was awarded by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with an asteroid that will receive her name. Recently, she was named "Global Trailblazer" by Harvard University for developing a technique to contain oil spills. She dreams about being able to contribute to a greater knowledge and investment in research in Brazil, disseminating especially pre-college research among students and teachers around the country.
