The dude might just be the most "complete" guitarist in terms of his ability to carry a song all by himself since Joe Pass gave his final performance. The understanding of the songs it takes to do something like this is incredible, but his approach the color he lends to every moment of his solo guitar performances touches on the sacred.

I get what you're saying. You may be right. I just didn't think I'd see Joe Pass's name in these comments. 2 thoroughly individual figures in the history of the music.

There are some artists, and Bill Frisell is surely one, who have explored and discovered wondrous music. He graciously plays his instrument for us to share his joy and I appreciate the courtesy. It amazes me that the experience is both hauntingly familiar and exhilaratingly fresh. Thank you...

Both inspiring and intimidating -- a great musician and wonderful human being. I love it when a true virtuoso applies his subtle skills and insight to what many would regard as simple, basic "folk" material and brings out why it continues to endure.

IshBrother He’s a big fan of the Line 6 DL4, but any loop pedal worth its salt will get you there in a more reliable manner. I’m pretty sure one of the TC Electronic Ditto models will get you the same in a sturdier package.

Line 6 DL4. This setting which is at the bottom, you can loop then go half time , reverse or double time reverse. Defiantly not the most intuitive pedal on earth, but I'm happy with it.

TEDxGoldenGateED 2011 will be held at the historic Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, CA. Originally constructed in 1931 as a Ford factory, the building was repurposed during World War II as a production facility for tanks and jeeps. If you can imagine Rosie the Riveter there, you are not far off- Rosie the Riveter National Park is right next door. Besides the site’s historical significance, it is also a beautiful site located right on the edge of the San Francsico Bay, looking out to San Francisco’s skyline.
