Antibiotic resistance is rampant in the world, and we are moving towards dark ages when it comes to curing something as simple as a cut or a wound. Hear one of the leading experts in the field of resistance talk about what the problem is, how we can handle it and what human kind should do to protect one of our most valuable discoveries - Antibiotics.
Dag Berild is a professor and a senior consultant in infectious diseases at both the University of Oslo and Oslo University College. Berild’s research concerns the rational use of antibiotics and his aim is to prevent antibiotic resistance, and to strengthen doctors’ knowledge on antibiotics so that they in turn can improve antibiotic use and reduce this resistance. He has conducted several intervention studies to improve antibiotic use both in Norway and in Russia, and also heads the Study Group for rational antibiotic and trough his day-to-day work. In this talk he will explain why this matters, and paint a scary picture of a world without a cure if we do not start to adjust our thinking now.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

It's just a word, what is the point of giving it so much power? It's true, also.

Overuse and abuse of antibiotics on animals should be banned. Also, it is obvious that pharmaceutical companies should be nationalized and work for the good of all rather than for profits. That seem to be the only way. You may not prescribe antibiotics to people to reduce the superbugs but those bacteria are in hospitals, in all their equipment. That is where many people get those superbugs. Not prescribing antibiotics is not going to solve a problem.

Let's send this guy to take down Trump. lol. "Sir, we require your services." Still, I feel like Trump will most likely decline to even meet with anyone in any science field regarding anything about real science.

You could have come with more catchy title without using the F word, We understand the magnitude of the topic but your title is totally inappropriate and grammatically incorrect.

It always amuses me when people make grammatical errors when writing comments referencing grammar. On another note, grammar is irrelevant in a title. Lastly, the sentence "If you fuck with nature, nature fucks you back", is grammatically sound.

Thank you for correcting may grammar mistake, however, if I had committed a grammar mistake, I am just commenting, the editor and the creator of this video ,on the other hand, had poorly chosen words for representing an urgent problem that facing humanity .
