Cameron, thank you for your courage to speak out about the critical issue of the fathers! I believe young/teen dads are the missing piece of the puzzle!

Went looking for old funny Cameron Logsdon videos, didn't think I'd end up here. The posts about his son now mean so much more. He's so lucky to be loved by a father like Cameron :)

as someone who's very scared that this might be a reality for me soon (it remains to be seen) this is so deeply reassuring. if I do have a kid they aren't growing up without a Dad.

I agree that men should have more resources available to them. My husband and I are married adults and we recently found out we are pregnant with our first baby. After talking with him some and being around him with our nephew I’ve realized that he really doesn’t know much about babies. That isn’t his fault though. No one truly explains parenthood or babies to them. Women often already have a preconceived plan of how they are going to give birth and many men still haven’t even been taught how to hold babies. I know my husband is going to be an awesome dad and he is very excited to meet his baby it just makes me feel so lucky that he is excited rather than just being afraid.

Men usually opt out of parenthood and go for child support

I don’t know why, but I’ve been on a “teen pregnancy” theme lately. I’m 35 and pregnant with my first baby. I’ve never even taken a pregnancy test in my life until this baby came along... I never ever had a pregnancy scare in my teens (I was extremely careful lol) Anyways, I think it’s important to be aware, teach your kids to be aware, and to be supportive and understanding when it does happen ❤️

Trust me my mom had me at 32 and my sister at 37 and her first kid at 18. She never really...grew up. It still shows up that she was a teen parent. It also gets passed on, my brother had 2 kids at 18 and 19 and now my 20 year old nephew (his son) has a baby on the way with his 3 month girlfriend no job....I’m just gonna move tf way , get married, and be a great parent when I can raise a human for happiness in this world. Good luck on yours.

talking as a teen mom, women are taught from young that we should be mothers when we are older... its not about the shows, that's whats expected from us. bring them up to stay. cant believe this ted talk actually speaks of ow shame the guy. they leave us to bring up their kids, don't bother to research anything themselves like us girls do. make up excuses as to why they cant contribute financially but expect the mother to step up and just always take the fall. we have these shows because it happens , also they aren't trying o make the men look bad, THEY LOOK BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they walk away.. leaving a women with a baby.... and this isn't something to teacjh them its just plain human decency

I'm in my mid 20s and I never became a dad. I'd rather wait till my 30s. Thank God I never became a teen dad.
