When was this recorded? Was it before the breakthrough in the US with a net gain of energy?

Great presentation Joe, I'm confident you scientists are going to crack this one and provide us with limitless energy for our kids futures.

Fascinating. LOVE this information and update on fusion energy. Very exciting!

Man, this is totally different than what I've been reading up on vis-a-vis tritium being more practical, but still that has the big minor quantity and breeding problems as well as the exotic materials issues for the casing. Lithium sounds way off base, and how you gonna' compete with all that exploding renewables and EV battery-driven demand. e.g: We can't even get a decent Cobalt supply without sweeping under the rug that it's hand-hacked out of pits in the Congo by kids! Plus, it's absurd to talk about any energy-producing element or material or mode on the planet, beyond perhaps sometimes hydrogen and fossil fuels, being "widely available". The geographics just do not show that, especially now that Deglobalization and the shift to a Multi-Polar World is removing that previously artificially-imposed wide availability of things. You need to see around engineering and science, and into other spheres, instead of looking impractically beyond the stars. Wesley Crusher says "it has a chance" to work, in yet *another* 25 years.

Your understanding is flawed and misapplied. I would suggest focusing on learning at least the basics of what happens during the hydrogen fusion process.

Nuclear reactions convert energy in the nucleus into energy that can be recovered and used for electricity. You are right that additional energy is not created (as combustion also changes chemical energy into usable energy rather than creates it)

Soon as people like this say CO2 is dangerous they show no understanding of the scientific principle. These little people have no chance of cracking big problems.
