Holy cow! I’ve been watching Jonathan Field for years, working with horses, and I’ve never heard the story, nor did I know he had done this Ted talk!

Just re-listened to a Warwick Schiller podcast with you, and then watched this for the first time. Things come to you when you’re ready, yes? I will hold on to the creating openings for my horse, to remember to move … and while I wouldn’t say I’m in my total sweet spot , I’m definitely conscious of moving toward that state. Choosing to heal, another skill we need to be teaching our kids from the get-go. Thanks!

Since finding Warwick Schiller I feel like I've just been continuously having my mind blown by the people and concepts that world has introduced me to, and this was another one of those moments. "Creating space", what an absolutely ground breaking approach to training horses. I can't wait to learn more from you, Johnathan 🙏

I spoke with him at Sacramento Horseman's Expo 2015 I think. I knew he did Liberty which few people even tried at that time. Willingness of a horse to be with you offline means less accident trouble when tied, feet picked, shod, groomed, bridled and saddled was my way of thinking at that point. My profession was x-ray technology then physical therapy. I wondered by his booth and picked up his book and noticed the accident part in his book immediately. I wondered HOW much function was restored to his left hand? I was more interested in HOW on earth he got so fortunate with gifted surgeons to regain so much. He was authentic and genuine as he spoke with me. Just one of my many mentors much better than I am. He's the real deal one of the best.

'Life with horses' is my life statement. I discovered this by journaling about the strange course of life my parents' chose and their resulting unhappiness for the rest of their lives. They let go of their 'life with horses' and I experienced as a young toddler their transition to 'life without horses'. Incredibly horses have always petrified me. Our family were western horse people, but I never had formal training. I was just PUT ON and told to ride. I faced my fears because of my fascination and passion to be with horses and started riding lessons at 57 years old. The incredible AT EASE WITH ALL MY LIFE happened. Because I am working with horses. I choose 'life with horses'. Rise+Shine.

I absolutely love this! My horse also completely changed me as a person and my whole life. I feel forever grateful for having had the chance to learn from these wonderful and wise animals. What a great speach about going through changes in life and finding your sweet spot.

Always love your wisdom Jonathan. You wrote in my book to always stay inspired by horses and at times like this, I am inspired by them and the people that work with them.

so inspiring as your genuineness and thoughtfulness for self, others (all creatures) shines through! I, particularly, enjoyed in your talk about slowing down when feeling the pressure to familiarize yourself with the sweet spot. thank you!

Thank you so much for this Jonathan ...I can so relate to this talk...have been to Jonathan's 3 day clinic with my horse, by the way...but, I'm on a new path in life and am so tuned into how its all happening and how I feel about all of it. Still with my horse because he is part of my life, horses are a part of my life just like my family members. My reaction to this talk was physical, can't quite put it into words, but I certainly was moved.
