You are an amazing Master percussionist. Perhaps instead of playing on a djembe, learn the secrets of the djembe by studying the instrument instead of playing on it; play/learn djembe instead of playing on it. Give it the due diligence, respect and depth of study that you clearly gave to the other things you are doing with music.
