Honestly, I think that his material and delivery is really good and his jokes are quite off the track and people can relate to it totally. For those who have put negative comments I think that they need to watch it again, with their sense of humour intact rather than their sense for nonsense and unfair comments.

This title was pretty misleading. I thought this video would talk about comedy abstractly and the scientific aspects of what makes someone funny. This video had nothing to do with the title; it was just a stand up act.

Yeah, label it as such. I didn't know one could just do a set for Ted talks, just a matter of time before it's "Ted open mic Tuesday"

You have to be Malaysian to understand these jokes. They’re really good.

He is funny. Have seen many stand up comedians, but his jokes are mostly new and I have not heard most of them before. Especially since he jokes mostly about Malaysia and Malaysians. The only other good Malaysian stand up comedian I have seen is Harith Iskandar.

Same with few Comedy lover who couldn't understand different comedic cultures. Trust me Sarah, It took me 3 years to understand American and British Humors. Worst w/ best part: Starts with George Carlins, that was the mindfuck to understand American politics and their culture.

Sarah Trachtenberg He is very funny but with a very think malay indian accent. You may reduce the playback speed a bit to avoid missing the punches he makes. Some of the jokes are very localized too. But overall he is so fun. He has a netflix show called “everybody calm down”. Do watch.

"The science of comedy". I expected him to delve into the subject of humor and what makes people laugh, instead of just performing a stand up comedy. Comedy is good when it is based on true story if he actually refers to a true story(but its obviously fake) and not at the expense of others. He started off with jokes at the expense of himself. Poor sad guy.

***** Excuse me? Not every country has a coast, especially not one in its east, nothern and southern shores appear to be more common from my point of view. By the way, what's up with your "Midwest"? It appears to be neither in the middle (but rather hugging the north), nor near the West.

So this segment of TEDxKL became a standup comedy bit? His stand up is great, but isn't the whole idea of the event to "spark deep discussion and connection in a small group in the spirit of ideas worth spreading" ? this essentially became just a performance.
