Wonderful talk. I was led to it by a combination of free will, chance and perhaps a causal propensity none of which i can claim 'mine'. I had just listened to a TED X talk by a Buddhist teacher John Bruna about his addiction, free will and recovery. What a coincidence that yours was below that .... a dance or a chance or just a KZbin algorhythm.

it is true that some of the opinions were difficult to understand but in retrospect it showcases that since we are unable to understand our brain has decided that neuroscience is difficult to comprehend and hence we should not look look more into the subject. One of the probabilistic event that happened to you as mentioned in the talk.

Do you agree that the primary impulse is independent of our brain but the mind acts as a filter of decision making the final act.

whos french philosopher? is it jean paul sartre? but Sartre believed in absolute free will, arguing that humans are "condemned to be free" and bear the responsibility for their choices and actions, without the influence of God or inherent essence. Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.
