Arturo thanks for the great work you are doing there. I wish you could do the same for my people back in my village here in Kabula ,lyantonde district in Uganda. Please teach me how to do this and I go teach my people so that they can stop to travelling miles to get water.

This is amazing, we would like to try this in Poland, we have a major drought in our country, and building even small constructions like that on every property could help a lot of people and change the landscape.

Arturo great information 😁 Spider webs also capture varying sizes of droplets, magnfying the size of spider web pattern and using the same net concept might magnify water droplets collection. (just a random thought)

Unlike the Waterseer, this doesn't claim to do anything magical. They carefully pick sites that have the right conditions of fogs and night condensation and collect it.

It's not about the knowledge that is the biggest challenge (or "magical"), it's about convincing the local people that 1. you have good intentions 2. gain so much trust that they actually will adapt your technology (especially when they are resistant against new technology).

But he doesn't say how it worked? How many liters of water is it able to extract out of the atmosphere on a span of how many hours? Does it vary depending on the weather? Does the height affect the amount of water collected? Nothing. It would be nice if he could explain further. Or if anyone else knows a document of his full research, i would love to read it.

What happens when algae grows of the net?
@charonstyxferryman
@charonstyxferryman 5 жыл бұрын
That is not possible. The water is only collected during nighttime. In daytime the sun will dry the netting meaning algae can't grow there - there are no water in the mesh during daytime.

Carloslealmusica:et al. IF your area gets AT LEAST 100mm rainfall per year you can do rainwater harvesting. "Google" the term rainwater harvesting and enter the words in KZbin and you will get plenty of practical advice on a technique that has been used in drylands for thousands of years. I use the method here in Mexico!

!Hola! I am a "retired" geologist living in Saltillo. Northern Mexico is being deeply affected by AGW-induced drought. Since I have the time, I write articles, manuals, and flyers to teach people here, for free, how to find, harvest, and conserve water for home and vegetable garden use.

I've never seen a chemical equation with "fire" in it. What is "fire" in your equation? Is it made up of oxygen and carbon somehow? I ask because how do you have carbon and oxygen on the second half of your equation. Where did they come from? Also, what happened to the nitrogen? Where did it go?
