Hey! Wonderful talk, and this definitely spoke to me as well. I think it's super important to let children explore their hobbies, since not only does it make happiness, but often there are career paths in those if you think hard enough about it. I believe that one reason people are very keen on making you choose a conventional job is because trying to find your passion and pursuing it is terrifying if you haven't already started. But for someone like you, you've already found your passion and developing the skills is something you've already done and continue to do every day without being forced to. Another thing is that I think a conventional job is something you can definitely learn to enjoy and find meaning and motivation in. However, this is assuming you don't always have one thing lurking in your mind that you'd rather be doing, and would regret giving up knowing you left it out of fear. And for anyone reading this, if that is also true for you, then it's very likely you can find a more fulfilling direction than what you've been told.

J perm everyone thought that me cubing is just a hobby and I shouldn't take it seriously but I never listened to them and I finally got a 8.95 single , now they don't say "It's just a hobby " Now I will continue my cubing till I become much faster and prove to them that they were very wrong.

Absolutely amazing talk! I could definitely relate to a lot of those situations and I'm sure many cubers can. This story will definitely make anyone motivated and inspired to start speedcubing. At the end, the thing is that if you love something from all of your heart, no matter how society treats you or tries to make you quit it... If you keep going, things will work out just fine. It was very inspiring. Great talk.
