A look into scamming -- from a professional scammer.
Brian Brushwood is a magician, podcaster, author, lecturer, and comedian. He is the creator and host of over 500 episodes of Discovery’s “Scam School." In the show, he teaches the audience entertaining tricks at bars so they can “scam” a free drink from their friends. In 2015, his first full season of “Hacking the System” debuted on the National Geographic Channel.
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

Protip: When your speaker very clearly makes a point that something "Looked liked this": [insert painfully obvious allusion to prepared image of "this"] it's probably a good idea to show what "this" is at that time.

What, were there 5 people in that crowd? What happened here? The audio was choppy, when he was showing things important to the talk, we never saw them, and it looks like whoever put this video together just did not care at all. That's not fair to Brian.

No, I think the audience was fine. The only audio in the video was Brian's mic. And as a headset mic, it doesn't pick up audience laughter because it's too far away. Really just a terrible editing job like Matt Johnston has said above.

lazy editing with no crowd audio and no view of his slides when he references them. it's not like they couldn't get his powerpoint or whatever, and mix in some camera audio or something for the crowd

Brian you look a heck of a lot older compared to just a few years ago when you were making videos about a card trick involving the 8 of spades. What did you do? So I can learn not to make the same mistake.

He seemed more legit with the spiky hair and no beard than he does now. With the spikes he looked like he was somebody and somebody with confidence and somebody who might have done something important. How else would you walk around with spiky hair like that if you didn’t do something important. Now he looks like a car mechanic and someone without a lot of money. Like somebody that made less than a car mechanic. Great guy though.

Brian Brushwood cannot stop laughing at his own , what he thinks are jokes. Thats his thing. He is his own laugh track. I guess it might work if he was ever funny but he just isn't. The guy tries way, way too hard. At his age if he hasn't made it ....he probably won't.
