ST James was one of Jesus’ best friends. James walked with Jesus. Ate with him. Shared the good news with Him. The vespers you mentioned are ancient prayers even Jesus said - meditated upon. Hope your spiritual Camino is one which is continuing to unfold. Buen Camino !

I have walked the same way in 2018 and I enjoyed this talk a lot because I agree to all the points, but I would add some: Listen. Even to moments of silence. On the day when I reached Güemes, where the most famous albuerge of the Camino del Norte is located, I had a short break in a small chapel that was dedicated to the pilgrims. Suddenly everything went silent, also my companion fell asleep for a some time. It was my most intensive spiritual moment on the camino.
