The keto lifestyle is life changing. I went from intermittent fasting to one meal a day which means I'm basically doing a 23 hour fast every single day. I love it. I'm never hungry and always satiated for extended periods of time. Sometimes I'll even do a 2-3 day fast and not even bat an eye. Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Jason Fung are out here changing lives! All the best to you and your family 💗

If I had known this when my 14 year old son was dx with rare pediatric sarcoma in 2010, we would have tried it. We were clueless and he was given very low odds of survival with stage 4. We let him eat what he wanted: loads of Mountain Dew. He died in 2012. Our oncologists had no dietary recommendations at all. I am now on a ketogenic diet myself and I am now a huge advocate of it, for many health reasons.

My sister has asthma - the lesson I learned from her experience is that the sick are like canaries - they reveal the hidden mechanics of our bodies. What your sons life teaches us is that at some level mostly* non whole-fruit carbs are toxic to the body especially the brain. In 10 who knows 5 years we'll eat a lot less starchy carbohydrates than we do now. Thanks for your courage and be peaceful!

Brilliant speech. It moved me to tears. I've been on KETO diet since September 2019. I've noticed many health benefits of KETO and Intermittent Fasting. I intend to stay on it for the rest of my life. Prevention is much better than cure. We shouldn't wait until we get a diagnosis of potentially incurable illness. We should start today! Highly recommend it

Every cell in our body has between 1 and 4,000 mitochondria per cell. The mitochondria is where ATP is created. It's the body's energy currency. Without ATP the very cell itself cannot do anything, it needs energy. So when the mitochondria is dysfunctional, it will ferment rather than respirate. Healthy human cells will respirate oxygen using glucose or ketones, while cancer cells ferment glucose or glutamine, which is an amino acid. Those are the only two fermentable fuels that cancer can use. Glucose needs insulin in order to enter the cell to be used for energy production. Ketones do not need insulin to access the cell. Ketones freely enter all cells, including the brain! Glucose also causes inflammation, causing all of the inflammatory pathways to switch on. Diet is the number one defense, proactively or reactively!

What a beautiful story.. Thank you so much for this! I do therapeutic ketogenic diet after I had my Stroke last November 22, 2016 and I had to start from from scratch - ABC’s, reading, writing and I needed speech therapy because I had Aphasia. I found Dr. Eric Berg on KZbin when I was searching for a better diet since my Stroke was due to AV Malformation and bad diet, I decided to try it. After 8 months of speech therapy, I passed my tests from 77% to 97.5%; I can now see colors from my right eye; and I can now dream. Plus I lost 60 pounds on it. These are just some of the changes that improved because of keto. It’s amazing how the body heals! I’m still on the Ketogenic diet and added intermittent fasting as well. I drink apple cider vinegar with lemon and I drink coconut oil every day.

In 2017 at the age of 55 I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma an incurable cancer and Diabetes. It was a bad year. I dived in head first researching both since I wasn’t familiar with either conditions. Of course my doctor wanted to put me on meds and insulin so I asked her to give me three months than will go from there. At the end of three months I lost 20 lbs and A1C was 5.7 and she asked my how I did it. Ketogenic diet stopped the progression of diabetes and to this day I’m still on ketogenic way of eating. My cancer is in remission after getting stem cell transplant but I contribute my MM cancer remission not only to the transplant but with ketogenic diet. I know cancer feeds off of sugar so I cut out as much as i am able to. I swear my ketogenic diet for it improved my life.

It is a totally life-changing way of eating and the top of that I've lost 8 kgs without ever being hungry (eating bacon and cheese and nice fatty meats :) ) Maybe You will be happy to hear that in my country (Hungary) it is getting quite a movement the use of ketogenic diet. Since cancer cells thrive on glutamine and glucose, I wonder if anyone’s thought about loading the body with non-glutamine aminos before each meal. The body can only digester certain amount of protein at each meal, so if you take 12g of say citruline valine and lysine etc so your body can’t absorb so much glutamine.
@Hveragerthi2 жыл бұрын
It is well known, and has been well known for a long time that cancer cells can use glucose, fructose, ketones, lactate, fatty acids and some amino acids as fuel sources. And since many of these are produce in the body, it is impossible to starve cancer. Studies have also proven that ketones promote cancer cell metastases due to the acidic nature of ketones, which activate hyaluronidase and proteolytic enzymes that allow cancer cells to invade tissues.

Here is the problem with all of these diets. It's. They are failing to understand stand the bigger picture.. It is really quite simple. It is simply a matter of how much activity you get throughout the day the day in conjunction with how how much fuel you give your body. The problem with Western culture is culture is that you sit on your a** all day with hardly any hardly any physical labor for the majority of people yet we still eat extreme Amounts of food. Your body has the ability to rise to the occasion if you give it the right stimulus. However today in our society we do a lot of sitting and eating and that combination is what causes causes us to have so much heart disease diabetes and poor health all Around. If you have ever gone to a place like military basic training or a fitness camp Then you know when you are active all day you will use all of the fuel you give your body and your body and you will feel Better.However when you do not use the fuel for the fuel for your body it will result in hormone levels that are out of whack. These hormone levels and the extra fuel floating around create a growth environment for cancer.
